  • God damn it, Billy Bob. Makes me cry every time.

  • this was one of my favorite parts during the movie

  • does anyone know the name of the fiddling piece, not de guello, or even do a tutorial on a interpretaion. Is there a similar piece?

  • Lool too badd this really didnt happend in real life!

  • @REXRSII there is 1 thing to support it

1.The Mexicans reported hearing a violin in reply to there drums almost every night .

  • Does anyone know what the name of that song is?

  • @JJM1029384756 The song the Mexican Military band is playing is "De Guello" or "The Slit Throat"...It was adopted from the Spanish army, who in turn supposedly got it from the Moors. It along with the Red Flag flown by Santa Anna was a message to the Texans that he would take no prisoners,,, I do not know the music that the fiddler was playing to accompany it. i think it was just written in the movie and had no historical backing.

  • Great scene, great tragedy!

  • it's like how the brits and germans celebrated christmas in the western front, they made music together then got back to the trenches as soon as it was over. hahaha

  • respect for Texas! what the hell!

  • Out of all of America's folk heros Davy Crockett was a genuine warrior of the revolution and one of Texas's greatest hero's and among many others whom that he fought with in the Alamo against the Mexican army Remember The Alamo folks cuz it should never be forgotton.

  • 3 people survived the alamo. the slave if William B. Travis named Joe, Susanna Dickenson, and her daughter. Susanna spread the news to Sam Huston.

  • @superbipe AND there was a Tejaco(an mexican texan) who escaped by taking a dead man's uniform and locking himself up in the prison, claiming he was a prisoner of the texans. He's often forgotten but he did survive.

  • santa anna didnt really murder the unarmed he let the women and any unnarmed child go and i think a guy to spread the word of the fallen alamo

  • never forget the Alamo. this was a good movie!

  • Sadly, this was the only memorable scene in the movie, other than the ending of course.

  • one of the worse movies ever made

  • Okayy I Believe Whut Santa Anna Wus Doing Wuss Very Wrong But It Gives No Wright To Judge Mexicans, It Wus Only Him, Yu Dnt See Mexicans Try Steal Texas Now Do Yu? I Know How To Give A Gudd Ass Fight So If Yu Dnt Agree With Me Kiss My Ass!

Nd By The Way Hitler Did Wayy Fucking Worse, But Im Not Gnna Judge White People For That!

David Crockett, William B. Travis, And James "Jim" Bowie R.I.P!

  • @starkiss123able Never judge any ones race for all thing are common to man and what they do.Color has nothing do with any thing.Hitler thought he had power to remove God's people. And Mao Zedong killed 2 million of his own people.

  • @murraydonald62 I Get Tht I Ment It To B A Reply For Sum1 Else

  • @starkiss123able Santa Anna was not wrong, he was simply practicing normal military procedures even by executing the unarmed.. the United States does much worse in the middle east

  • @K00lstorybrah

I'm gonna have to disagree with you on that one. The United States does not "execute" unarmed combatants. It's against the Third Geneva Convention and has been since the early 20th century. Prior to that, war was considered to be somewhat gentleman-like and quarter was often given after an enemy had been beaten. Exceptions were made in Santa Anna's case in order to make the point that rebels would receive no mercy.

  • @Kubiklan I did not mean that the United States executes the unarmed. I just meant that they bomb the hell out of innocent civilians in order to get the Taliban out

  • @K00lstorybrah

That sort of thing does happen, true. It's not like the US carpet bombs villages though. The United States has a very strict set of rules of engagement. You can only shoot (or bomb) someone who has been verified as a threat. The Taliban uses civilians as a means of shielding. It's unfortunate that Afghan civilians have died in the war, but it's unavoidable. Consider the Soviet occupation for instance. They strafed civilians with gunships. We're not that bad.

  • @Kubiklan either way it's still wrong when here people complain about abortion and birth control when they vote for idiots who will bomb people of other nations but hey that's life

  • i honestly didn't know much about the Alamo war until i watched it in s.s class... i loved it <3! of course it was sad but it made me realize what happend before i even lived... :)

  • this never happened so we all know. he never played the violon in front of them. yes, he did play but no there at that moment

  • the reason he played the violin is because the other people were thinking abouut the people and how they won. Davy Crockett is playing for the LOSS of the soldiers who fought and died. Im 12 and I know that...

  • That's right spics! Davy fuckin' Crockett just silenced you beaners, and put you all in your place! LONG LIVE THE REPUBLIC OF TEXAS & GOD BLESS AMERICA!! fuck messyco and death to all wetbacks everywhere :)

  • remember from san antonio,tx

  • For the of the rest of 49 states remember the Alamo!!!! ,Houston Texas

  • So boss

  • Its not a violin it's a fiddle

  • only 2 things come from texas, bad asses and even more bad asses (and I'm not even texan!)

  • swag

  • Crockett's a REAL man!!! It takes balls to play a violin when you know you could be shot at!!!!

plus THAT is a very beautiful tune, AWESOME!!!!

  • @jesseusgrantcanales Actually, with the accuracy of their rifles, they'd be lucky to graze him even if they all fired.

  • @jesseusgrantcanales indeed, the rifles of that time had little accuracy.

  • @ertren6 The Texans had more accuracy in our long rifles.

  • @MyOwnLittleRepublic2 what does that have to with the fact that they still had poor accuracy ;o

  • @ertren6 Depends on your definition of "poor". For the time, the long rifle we had was the equivalent of a laser-sighted sniper rifle of today.

  • I saw this in Mr. Butley's history class, let's just say it made me proud to choose the violin at school.

  • This reminds me of that poem about Belleau Wood, when the German's and Americans both sing Silent Night in their own languages on Christmas.

  • When I saw this part in my History class, I absolutely fell in love with it. It sounded so beautiful to me. Crockett was really brave.

  • what did he play, the song he played was so catchy, i even danced to it

  • @bsadhukhan they have about same temperature, maybe Houston is a little hotter

  • I am a Texan and i am proud of it!"You all can go to hell, i am going to Texas!"

  • Whoever disliked this can get the hell out of YouTube.

  • REMEMBER THE ALAMO La Pryor TX

  • PIRATAS! SOLO VULGARES Y CORRIENTES PIRATAS POR ESO EL MUNDO NO LOS QUIERE....

  • TEXAS FOREVER!

  • I am a Texan, and the Alamo is what makes me proud to be one. Remember the Alamo! Remeber Goliad!

  • @Borgcommander Hell yeah!!! :D

  • Ok everyone shut up and appreciate the music.

  • Such a pretty melody. I hope I can find it somewhere to download it. Hurray For Crockett!

  • @TheBullMose95 thought your are also wrong so really yall are both idots , TEXAS bitches !!!!!!

  • @steelmike89 this actully happened and stop trying to sound smart this was a battle of heart not technology that's why 136 Texas held off 6000 mexicans for 13 days

  • Gets up alone on a roof with hundreds of cannons pointed at him and what does he do? Play the violin. LIKE A BOSS!

  • Yes, he really did play the fiddle everyone!

  • Crockett!....

  • Its amazing what a lil harmony will do.

  • uhm... dont mean to be a buzzkill... but what is fish in a blender doing in the related videos?

  • @beachbum1468 bahaha i was just about to ask that

  • Remember alamo!!!muaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....ping..peng arrrghh alamoooooooo

  • How did that song of Alabamas go? (I you wannna play in Texas ,ya gota have a fiddle in the band!

    Whoot! Whoot!

  • fuck texas !!!!!! texas is mixed with mexican and white country fuckers

  • america WAS lower than mexico

  • america bitches!!!

  • wheres davy crocket now buahaha

  • In real life the Mexicans would've just shot him when he appeared.

  • @TheBullMoose95 Obviously someone doesn't have any military knowledge because you'd know at this battle the Mexican Army was still using the Brown Bess musket which was great for shooting into masses but would have never been able to reliably hit a target at the distance shown in this scene. And to waste a canonball on one man would have been pointless. You still have to remember this is a fictional scene. But in real life your assumption would be incorrect.

  • @bigsteelmike89

    It was a joke numbnuts.

  • @TheBullMoose95 Oh well then you're obviously not funny.

  • @bigsteelmike89

    Obviously your an @ss

  • @TheBullMoose95 Someone got their feelings hurt.

  • @bigsteelmike89

    Not really, your just annoying.

  • @TheBullMoose95 Hmm Another One Who doesnt Have A Life.. Get A Life Noob.. Buy One And I Think its in your grandmas ass... so calm your pussy down and shove your vagina up your fathers dick.

  • I wish to God we still had men like Crockett in our government now....What happened to all our heroes?...:(

  • @cfrait1968

They are around. When the GOP canidates were asked.. Is it legal for a President to wage war without congressional approval, Mit Romney himhawed around the question- then finally came up with some blabbering incoherant thing about- "We do what our lawyers, and advisers tell us to... blah blah blah.

  • It was disgracefull.

But when Dr. Ron Paul responded ,it was direct and to the Point. He stated "No it is not legal and we need to follow the Constitution"

Now im not saying Dr. Paul is perfect, but every time that man is asked a question his answer is directly linked into our Constitution. The rest i will let you form your own opinion.

  • and they could hear it for miles...some how...

  • That violin made El Degueo better

  • hu-ah! for the Texas and Tenessee militia!

  • @nebraskapatriot01 Hey NP, don't forget the New Orleans Greys. They were probably the best fighting group within the Alamo. They even had their own Texas volunteer flag which Santa Anna took from the Alamo after the fall and which still resides to this day in the national museum in Mexico as the only known authentic flag from the battle. The US and Texas govts have asked to borrow or even pay for the flag and Mex govt has refused to let it leave Mexico soil. Interesting...

  • why couldn't he just keep playing? ='),

it really is amazing what a little harmony will do,

    god bless you david!

  • Awesome movie, the only thing I didn't like was that they made it seem like Texas was part of the US at the time. There was a scene in which they have to explain a Black guy that slavery was illegal in Mexico. Are you kidding me? They were in Mexico...lol! Oh, Hollywood!!!

  • @gospelnews123 They were servants basicly they were slaves but the Texans used fancy words and documents to make it sound less like slavery.

We Texans arent stupid, were known for bein smooth talkin sons of bitches for a reason ;)

  • @TexianPride Interesting!

  • only David Crockett could silence a 5,000 + soldier army with 1 simple fiddle/violin.Keep his spirit alive America, do NOT throw away what these men fought and died defending in exchange for this so called safety the fed is shoving down our throats.

    Long Live The Republic

  • Chafa! but photography is good.

  • Comment removed

  • Perhaps the most memorable scene of the movie...

Not being played in harmony with the other side...but, rather speaking

in a defiant manner of the attitude of the spirit in which it is played.

  • 5 people are mexicans!! lol

  • I got ancestors that fought for this state. Damn proud of em too.

  • You can all go to hell. I am going to Texas

  • @MegaNima2011 Hell Is Mexico..

  • god i luv that tune!!!!!!

  • Be ready to defend Independence once again! And that goes for all American Citizens. And not just stocking up on ammo and Guns.Go to your city meetings,Town halls, Write your legislatures, your REPs, your congressmen even.... Demand they follow the Constitution and Keep us a Free and Independent Nation. History can and will repeat itself, lets just hope its not too late to resolve it peacefully.

    Long live the Republic.

  • That was awesome.

  • The best part is when the Mexican dude turns to his friend and mutters, "Crockett...." That pretty much summs up how famous David Crockett was back in the day

  • whats the name of the song on the mexican side and on the american side please tell

  • @chasem5657

They both play Dueggo ;-). And their not Americans, their Texans ;-)

  • @TheMrSmissen Considering Crockett and his men were from Tennessee, they were American citizens, and not legal immigrants into the Texas territory. Sooooo...

But yes, they're both just plays off of Deguello.

  • @TheMrSmissen same thing American Texans

  • @chasem5657 El Deguello. If you want it with the violin you can find it as El Deguello de Crockett on the alamo soundtrack

  • At the end of the music one of the Mexican's says with awe and respect in his voice "Crockett" .

  • Nvr forget the brave men who died defending the alamo

  • i can finally put this on my ipod!! YES!!

  • Im Kidda Sad That Such a Brave hero Died fighting for Freedom,Listening to this makes me Hapy To Be Tezas,Long Live The King of te Wild Frontier!

  • and to those who wish to know the song crokett played at the alamo was called " come to thy bower i have shaded for thee " ( it basicly meant that the men in the alamo were telling the mexicans to come and fight )

  • i dont think it was a violin i think it was a fiddle lol

  • That's actually are real song by the Mexican Side it's called the de guallo it's Santa anna's of saying were going to kill you now

  • God bless the Alamo and God bless Texas

  • this is a great melody by both sides.hands down

  • Here's a good Riddle ! What were Davy Crockett's last words ?? Answer: What do you mean there's no fucken back door ?!! Ha ha ha ha

  • @nicktesla45 ur not funny and for that u just sounded like a douche ,i wuld like to see u in davys place in the battle of alamo, two commanders dead lets see how u wuld do,Wait tats right u wuld surrender haha well ill tell u something kid those men are one of the bravest ive ever heard a small unit vs a whole army ,and the thing thats sad that bitches like you still dont kno whats a funny joke or a little riddle,

  • @BombsAwayLobbies Hey in my High School everybody laughs at that joke . Lighten Up dodo !

  • @nicktesla45 entire mexican army vs around 200 men took them what 5 days to beat them, battle after the alamo mexican army beaten in 18 min, and your joke isnt funny go make fun of dictator santa anna, and bombsaway is right just bc u and every other kid at ur school would surrender doesnt mean you have to make yourself feel better by imposing ur cowardice onto davey crockett

  • @nicktesla45 What did He say when He first saw all the cMexicans?Answer=Who ordered concrete?

  • BEST PART OF THE WHOLE MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The smallest building in the world is the Mexican Hall of Fame.

  • Love this, I live in San Antonio, this just adds to the pride of being a Texan.

  • @edenic the way i see it, your the asshole pickin fights on youtube. congratulations youre one cool guy. where ya from asshole?

  • Did this really happen ?

  • @AztecPrince95 Hmm What Wrong pussy..?? Guess Someone Doesnt Have A Life..... FUCK YOUR MOTHER! My dad is davy crockett son of a bitch and he can beat your ass down. bitch or what ever kind of monster you are get your fucking mind straight bitch before youhurt someones feelings... guess you dont have a pussy..

  • @DavyCrockettDaughter and btw, you seriously need to calm the HELL down. Stop spitting your swear words all around the Youtube site and stop searching through hundreds of Alamo videos for people with different ideas. What you really have to do is either to get a TV or get a JOB. And after that, you better clean your dirty mouth, or I will find your father to do that for you.

  • @DavyCrockettDaughter

Jeez a mighty, you are an idiot.

  • @DavyCrockettDaughter I'm sure david crockett is dead.... If he is alive. I believe he would be VERY old

  • for some reason the violin melody really goes with the alamo. for me. it really goes on how they look and dress. TO ME JUST TO LET ALL THE TROLLS KNOW

  • @yolixrod for me i would say its because of the setting and the situation they were in. Showed strong defiance playing that just to piss the other army off :)

  • Even though he's an actor.I thought he caught some of Davey's true spirit in this scene.

  • Could somone link me to the reasons behind the alamo? as in why they fought there? im not american so i have no idea

  • @SlaughterSolutionPro wikipedia it pal :)

But basics of it is, alamo was used as a fortress for a long time even before the famous battle of the alamo :P

long story short texas wanted independence from mexico. mexico wanted texas so the people in the alamo were rebels along with the few proffesional US soldiers which were sent from the US

  • @danielaung691 When was Texas part of Mexico? o.O

  • @SlaughterSolutionPro Since before santa anna signed the declaration of independence for texas from mexico :P if yah watch the whole film u leanr alot :)

  • @SlaughterSolutionPro when the spanish conqueered for them.

  • When we watched this in class I begged the teacher to rewind to this part.
