@Animateme3D ,,,why they have always been crap ,always will be ,,nobody wants to listern to there boring music anymore ...the only good thing about the band is the dark haired girl
Later, Adrian Wright quit playing keyboards with one hand tied behind his back, and Phil Oakey toned down his lipstick. When finally Joanne and Suzanne cut down a little on their idiosyncratic arm movements, they all became huge pop stars and lived happily ever after.
Hilarious and true. Saw the band live once ... at Massey Hall in Toronto in the early eighties ... kind of fuzzy on exact dates due to drugs. They were pretty good live ... but they pissed me off because they didn't play Hard Times.
I love the way all those Emo boys think that tight jeans, eyeliner and floppy hair over one eye is original. *Snigger* Bad news boys, us 30-somethings were there years before you!
Wow, what a classic studio clip for this group. This clip may seem borring these days but back in 1981 this was a ground breaking song with its tunes and Phill Oakey had a very contraversal look takeing huge risks back in this time, but back in the early 80s in the UK & Aust this was very excepted and trendy, compared to the USA were Phill had to change his look to be excepted thats why the hair had to go.
thanks for this clip! altho the 'promo' for this song is great is interesting, this tv clip is even better = all you need to watch is phil oakey sing out these encouraging great words.

All straight men were in love with Suzanne and Joanne in the 80s, they were little darlings. Oakey wasnt stupid getting them in the group was he?

It was from this very appearance on TOTP that I fell in love with Susanne Sulley. (Ok I was 14 years old!!)
Now 26 years later she is still just as beautiful and I'm still just a little bit in love with her.
