@forzaitalia5910 he used to use dw 9000 pedals but now he uses the speed cobra i believe, and this is obviously not his kit, samson probably tried to organize a kit the would be acceptable for jason to use or else his endorsers would kill him.
@forzaitalia5910 its his kit.. the floor tom is a different shell color, Im SURE he doesn't use mb10's on his kit, and as you can see its a stock head on the snare. They probably just threw a kit together for the video..
@blsftw666 I'm with you on that, tried 7000 and 9000 DW drum pedals, none would have the response and power of my Iron Cobra Power Glide, I think even the Rolling Glide would hit harder
1:20 - god how i hate drummers that THINK they have any sort of groove or pocket. don't try to play swing or funk or backbeat stuff. its worse than if you didn't play anything at all. stick to your tasteless, on top of the beat, weak and inconsistent hitting, soulless, cut up and sound-replaced or triggered in the studio crap. ugh this guy kills me.
@alcoholocaust are you kidding me? he's not playing his best because that isn't his kit!?! wow, gonna add that to the list of most ignorant things i've ever heard.
yeah, he is endorsed by tama but it looks like not all the pieces of his kit arrived for this promo so they gave him a dw snare and hardware, and drumheads.
there is nothing wrong with tama, it is probably because of short notice and the drumtech could not bring the stuff. i have played tama for awhile and i recently played/heard a dw set live and was amazed. i think that a dw maple set has more warmth than a tama starclassic maple.
its all in your ear. tama has a more dead tone which is better for rock/metal. dw is good in every genre. gretsch and yamaha are perfect for jazz. i also find that tama drums don't distort as much when you pound the crap out of them.
Jason Bittner is an excellent drummer. He isn't known for WOWing people other than how solid of a drummer he is. I noticed he fell off beat on his feet once or twice in the beginning, but listen to the rest. Super solid.
dont get mad and dont get me wrong he has cool fills but he just needs to lay back WAY more and play em solid. anyone who wants to hate on my playing, watch my videos and then make a comment thanks.
You defend people like Britney Spears and New Kids on the Block and Milli Vanilli...no seriously, that's your defense dude. Because he has money and is 'famous' makes him good? At least this guy is talking about technique. And some people actually give a shit about something rather than notoriety and money. Good Charlotte have money...what's your argument now? Personally I could care less about the guys technique, but your mentality is really pushing the envelope of nonsense.
Ok. I like how you take instant hostility at a youtube comment. I did not say anything about New Kids on the Block, so before you start pulling random shit out of your dumb youtubian ass, consider the fact that I do play drums, and I do respect this drummer, and I have gone to clinics where this drummer has played, and I appreciate his skill. The only reason I said I agreed with him was because you said this guy's horrible when he clearly isn't, and frost said you listen to Good Charlotte.
I wasn't being hostile I was pointing out the silliness in your logic. And I never said he sucked. I clearly was pointing out to you that you defend peoples worth by how famous or how much money they make, which in essence is the antithesis of a true musician/artist. And if you don't understand what an example is, in the classification of what you claimed, then don't get your panties in a bunch. I'm not the one who blatantly said fame = better than talent.
Maybe realize that both you and frost were being extremely hostile towards a person that merely said something constructive about the drummers style and then offered his own ability up for constructive criticism. I don't know where in this you think I'm being an asshole when really I'm responding to childish over-protective comments. I think the guy is a solid drummer. But I'm open to hearing criticism instead of saying "He's famous, so shut up loser!", and you say huh huh yeah...in yer face.
I really think he is terrible... if anyone knows true talent and smooth style you would be able to tell he is really not seasoned at all and needs to go back and learn how to play everything solid. his feet are crap.
jajaja ill never play like him, cause he is not one of my influences, i dont know if you know but in music you play what influences you the most, you can see my videos at my youtube acc, thanks.
More than likely, if you have any kind of mixing software on your computer, you can pull it off by throwing it through some pass filters and creating tracks at different freqs.
The kick sounds horrible. Or maybe it's just the acoustics of the room.
