Rotaries compete in a lot of motorsports. There was an LMP2 mazda powered by a 3 rotor I believe. It was underpowered however, and they replaced the engine with the MZR 4 banger turbo. Sad.

yeah its because the exhaust fumes come out rotor shaped, so with a rotor shaped exhaust, it not only sounds better but gives better suction pretty much actually pulling the ehaust gases out of the engine... or its because its looks good ;)
