I don't know how I feel about Ron Paul. It's sort of 50/50. Some things I like about him and some things I don't. But I think that's a good thing to have a candidate who isn't 100% Republican or 100% Democrat. It shows he's not a robot that just says what he is told to say. He actually voices his own opinions. Additionally, I've come to find that Sweden has a voucher system that enables *all students to *choose which school they want to attend, this is essentially what Ron Paul wants to do. So I think we both have been hugely misled.

I don't know how I feel about Ron Paul. It's sort of 50/50. Some things I like about him and some things I don't. But I think that's a good thing to have a candidate who isn't 100% Republican or 100% Democrat. It shows he's not a robot that just says what he is told to say. He actually voices his own opinions. That's a rare thing to see in politics today.

Additionally, I've come to find that Sweden has a voucher system that enables *all students to *choose which school they want to attend, this is essentially what Ron Paul wants to do. Like everyone else who writes Paul off as a kook, when they really look at what Paul is doing on issues they actually care about, they have second thoughts. There's not a single crazy idea in any of Paul's positions. They just seem radical, because this generation has never actually tasted freedom. We been conditioned to think that voting is the same thing as freedom. But every authoritarian regime has elections too.

Most Obama supporters will defend his racist quotes from the past(which are taken out of context and being used to prove he is a racist), but will not put one tenth of that same amount of time to research Ron Paul. They are fine with a President who killed an American citizen and his 16 year old son by executive order without due process. Jared Lee Loughner got a trial. Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez-who looks like your average OWS protester and was "rumored" to be OWS-is getting a trial.

Because he knows that his viewers will find Dr. Paul's message seductive, that it speaks to a truth within them. So, by mentioning Paul's good points, he seeks to identify with his audience to give him a better position to discredit him. He's basically a sheep in wolf's clothing. Nobody can really get angry with him because, hey, he stuck up for Paul a few times, didn't he? Actually no, I think he's incredibly dishonest.

I'm not sure he has. He strikes me as an "any Democrat will do" man, but maybe I'm wrong. I just think that overall in his eyes, a group of racist/insensitive articles written under the name of a Republican is more damning than a Democrat authorised the erosion of habeas corpus. People who define themselves as R or D will always struggle with a candidate like Paul because he doesn't fit into their "good vs. evil" paradigm. But maybe you're right, maybe I did over-thing this! I don't have any issues with Ron Paul, but let's face it, we should always have our eyes on our leaders. After Obama, we learned that. Our leaders, powerful as they are elected to be, need to be held upon a pedestal at eye level to us, so that we all understand what the other intends. The president is our leader, but not ruler and, as such, gives us the power to talk amongst ourselves about what we ALL know we need, regardless of issues with each other. A leader should allow the people to unite.
