Agreed. People will argue that LL's commercial success made him the "winner," but LL was so humiliated by THIS defeat, you didn't hear from him till that lame "Something like a Phenomenon" back in 98, and till he started showing up in movies.

KMD sounds bored here. Probably why the 'feud' died out after this. It was played out.

**Why don't modern MC's have flow like these guys? There are a few contenders out there, but so many no talent mush mouths flooding the airwaves. Sad...

When Moe Dee did the part with the words beginning in L, its was like a Roy Jones flurry. It sounds good for a few seconds. But Jack the Ripper by LL was a real "Death Blow"

@KingMellow11 Okay. If I am so wrong, then what happened to Kool Moe Dee after that? LL had more successful hits following the battle. Moe Dee released 1 or two albums after the "beef." Real Hip hop heads know Moe Dee was the truth, but it's about longevity and a successful career after your "prime." LL says "How you like me now/ I'm gettin busier/ I'm double platinum/ Watchin you get dizzier. I was using sales as a measure of success. Just an opinion. I like Moe Dee!

@powerman2g O.K. first of all , it was not a beef, It was a battle. They both had mad respect for each other. Even L.L. admitted that he learned from Moe Dee. Yea L.L. had hits, but remember ,he was part of the machine.and remember, Moe was around from 1979 to 1994. Now L.L. kept going and that's cool. O.K. I give L.L. longevity but I give Moe Dee Legendary. There is a difference. It's not all about money and fame. Moe is still around doing different projects. I feel ya .Just an opinion.

@KingMellow11 Moe Dee is legendary. Moe Dee certainly has my respect. His verses on the Treacherous Three's song "New Rap Language" is what rap should still be about. And that came out in '81!
