The problem with forums is not only in the members, but also the administrators. They either "Don't want to hurt anyone's feelings" by banning them, or are even more stupid than the trolls. Case in point, many video game forums that are hosted by the admin and not Forumotion, and even then most of the forums on forumotion dedicated to a single topic. Forums also went downhill when the concept of the "Forum Game" came into existence as you'd end up with people posting "Rate the Signature or user

The biggest offender IMO is Youtube on the topic of religion, atheism and conspiracy [theories]. Face it, people have their opinions/beliefs, don't waste your time arguing, read a book.

It like that on youtube too, especially on music videos about religions and they got to argue. I would often read an argument between two users whom no doubt have never seen each other before. sometimes the arugment would lead to one complaining to the other about their grammer and how they don't show their intelligence well and there fore their opiniions mean nothing. they would even swear at each other. If someone tries to stop it by saying to let it go then that person will get chewed out.

If there are any gamers out there tell me this has happened to you. @SakuraAvalonBleac25 this kind of thing is common but with my favorite game in the world Lord of the Rings Online it's a much more mature community in game a nd in the forums everyone helps eachother out no matter the questionn's stupidity or reasonably dumb questions they're awnsered with the facts and topics some forums are like this on games or w/e not all

best thing to do. Just ignore them. The people that refuse to act like adults and have open minded debates i mean. all the closed minded people that refuse to see and listen to other sides of the conversation are refered to as trolls. If you acknowledge the troll it will only fuel them on so instead of giving them what they want just ignore them and go about your business.

If there are any gamers out there tell me this has happened to you. You have a certain opinion about something, then all of a sudden a Holier-than-thou gamer comes from NOWHERE and just rants at you for your honest opinion and when you ask for help you get nothing. ESPECIALLY YOUTUBE since people use it more as a forum nowadays rather than enjoying themselves.
