Brooking's harbor cam shows the Chetco river mouth between the jetties. CG station is to the left. They have not let the cam update since a wooden fishing boat was stuck on those rocks for a long period of time and destroyed during removal. 'Miss Sarah', a large trawler was lifted up and onto the jetty  while entering the harbor during a storm few years ago. Picture taken by local news editor/photog is famous, as she buried her stern while backing off those rocks.

It's all around shitty, my skiff doesnt have a windshield or anything, and is just a basic lund. Meaning when you hit a wave you're blinded by the water for a few seconds. I live in SE Alaska, and one of the worst things about here is how sudden the weather can change. It can literally go from sunny, no wind, to 10-20 MPH winds with heavy rain in about 20 minutes. Luckily here you can go ashore on any island, and have the basic things you need to survive for a few hours, to a few days.

@OregonBoysVideo Puking is the last thing you think about, You try not to think about how you can easily get hurt, and just try to keep going with or against the waves. I remember I was out in about 5 foot seas, and I thought it was going to be fine. Suddenly my motor dies, and wont start. At that point your heart just drops, and you can't really stop the boat from turning side ways. Luckily I was able to switch to a new gas tank quickly and restart the engine.
