  • To jest kurwa piękne.

  • @BlackSabbath628 sir (or lady?) I have to agree on that

  • please stop arguing about this, leaving aside WW2, WW1 was nothing more than a huge crimen done by politicians that lead the common people to war, they were trying to "protect" their interest. it was a waste and unesessary war, do nothing but to prepear the stage for WW2

  • @MartinSabatonFan QFT.

WW1 was perhaps the greatest political fuckup of all time.

  • i love...:*¨

  • i cryed when i was in it and only a child how stupid

  • This got half my school in tears

  • only music guyes

  • who the fuck fights a war like this anymore?

  • i know what the weapons of ww3 will be but ww4 will be fought with sticks and stones - albert einstein

  • only the dead have seen the end of war

    Plato

  • cualquier video d iron maiden si esta acompañado d un video belico es lo mejor q hay!!

  • this is musicvideo from film (movie)? i don't speak good english... name of this film (movie)? please?

  • @MrFriga The name of the film is 'all quite on the western front'.

  • "All wars come from the east" - Churchilll

  • @Nerfherder3 World war one and 2 were provoked by Germans so i don't completly agree with that plus Soviet Russia stoped hitler from winning World war 2

  • @Ludach123 Churchill's comment was made as a fanned jab AT Stalin and the Soviets you should open up more history books bro -peace

  • @Ludach123 germany did not start ww1

  • @Ludach123 No, it was a Serbian terrorist group that started WW1. Look up the Black Hand and Archduke Franz Ferdinand.

  • @BlackSabbath628 I know they started it but the germans got in fight with every nation because she was a new country and wanted colonies but no one agreed to that !

  • @Ludach123 That is an mostly incorrect oversimplification of the causes of WW1. Please consult your nearest (unbiased) history textbook. Whilst it is true that Germany did want more land, there was more to it than that.

Besides, there is also the fact that every other major power wanted more land, so you can hardly blame Germany for that.

  • @BlackSabbath628 Yea but germany demanded that the land is devided across all the coutrys of Europe and The Great Britain and France did not agree to that because they would be hurt my that so they formed an alliance ....

  • This was the old way to war thankfully we don't war this war anymore.....

  • The only thing that pisses me off and isn't ok ,is that the people who died there in honour are lying underground in the same grave and people novadays don't even know their names. Now most of old people are taking honour for what the dead did and that isn't ok. If they were on their place they probably would run away with heap in their pants. Sory for my english , im Pole : P

  • passchendaele was 3rd battle of ypres, gas was at 2nd battle of ypres

  • This song's amazing. Sad, but great. :)

  • Actually, this song is based on the first chemical weapons used in WW1.

  • Who did light the cigarette?

  • Fuck War.

  • HOo I'll lead you to the promise land

  • Stop being Gay fellas , England and Germany should of "Teamed up" and Killed the beast.. you no it , i no it, and now we are all fucked - God help us...

  • stop commenting on the god damned war, listen to the fuckingmusic! i dont need your hippie crap while iron maiden is playin

  • @gutterman2010 Seems to me you missed the point Iron Maiden was trying to send out. You are calling this Iron Maiden song "hippie crap" apparently?

  • @gutterman2010 The song is about war and has a serious message...you're just too ignorant to see it.

  • @gutterman2010 This song is based on a battle in WWI. Do you even know what your saying man?

  • Was it worth it? No. Why must we waste lives for the sake of dirt? Not worth it. At all. Greed murders.

  • i am eating nuts.

  • lol it didnt even go in his chest lol 5:09

  • I think The Royal British Legion could do a lot worse than ask IM to perform at The Festival Of Remembrance. Either this or The Longest Day, or These Colours Don't Run, Aces High. Let's be honest, there's a few to choose from. Wouldn't have to be 'full on' version and would 'open up' the F.O.R to a new audience. Not that it should have to feel that it should have to 'open up'. I reckon Steve would be up for it

  • 87 pessoas nao sabem o que é muisca

  • 87 fucktards. This was a real battle with real casualties. Thank u Iron Maiden for taking an interest in your heritage.

  • Youtube says- "Yo man we heard u like Iron Maiden, so we put some pauses in yo song so it lasts longer while you listen!"

For God's sake, stop changing the site, it only slows the whole thing down.

  • Iron Maiden will became immortal in the History of Rock!

  • UP THE IRONS!!!

  • seriously people, if you've never actually been to war, say NOTHING. You cannot even imagine what it is like.

  • @TheAlexwalker3 true that

  • Fucking awesome man, this song and video gives me goosebumps. Not because war is cool. What people do in the face of death. It's very interesting.

  • EXCUSE ME CAN I BORROW AN ERASER BECAUSE THERES A RED SMUDGE ON THE LIKE BAR

  • All quiet on the Western Front film is best and music is stil good;)

  • Very nice video, will come back for more!

  • there isnt humanity without war..so fuck off wet souls..how u cant understand it..noobs..

  • @666Doncha How does the existence of humans rely on war?

  • Comment removed

  • WAR= LOSS

there are no good or bad sides in wars. sure Germany started WWII but they werent the bad guys neither were usa nor any other country that participated in the war. think of it this way: it isnt the soldiers fault its their leaders who forces them into their own conflicts. <----- FACT from a 16 year old norwegian boy.

  • I never understood why this album is so under-appreciated. Well, I do actually: Purists. But nonetheless, musically this record's one of the deepest and most thoughtfully composed. Biased listeners never seem to take the technical aspect into consideration when making judgements. They may not have grown up with the later material, but on a technical plain Maiden only got more and more mature and deep over time. Let them call it bad all they like; in the end all that's being said is "I'm biased."

  • @drquesadilla This newer stuff is some of their best, I don't know why people would be so stupid to hate this!!!

  • @VikingII Exactly

  • for information paschendale is a battle where died 250 000

  • dance of death is yet another classic iron maiden album without a fucking doubt the only song i dislike is journeyman

  • I actually thought this was the music video until i saw that they were clips from a movie

  • do not tell the tale of PASCHENDALE!!

  • 86 dislikes ? are you idiots serious These cunts probably know nothing about history and probably

come from the usa. (usa in small letters is done on a purpose )

  • @ebooker21 It's faggots like you that make a case for kicking britain the fuck out of NATO. Go choke on a crumpet ya wanker.

  • muito bom

  • ¿which is the name of that movie?

  • @baladesangre971 description

  • no war

  • this makes me want to listen to "one".

  • At one point during the fighting at Paaschendale a British Staff Officer was sent forward to inspect the front lines. When he saw the shattered landscape men were dying for he cried out, "My God, we sent men into that!" and broke down weeping. After this Battle the PM deliberately started withholding reinforcements from Sir Douglas the Murdering Butcher Haig, for fear he'd kill all the men under his command.

  • very good video made for this very good song. in combination it makes the intensity of WW1 trench warfare even more dramatic. even if the german helmets seen i the video (Helm mit Spitz) were not worn anymore in Passchendaele1917 (they got replaced since 1916 with the M16 Steel helmet). Anyway, great song, great video, great cuts, very well done. dont forget the madness of war! life is way to valuable!

  • feeding off this song

  • I lost relatives on both sides of the Western Front (Brits in Belgium, Germans in France). This song always makes me remember them and think of the hell they went through- which is a good thing. Never forget where we've come from.

  • Im an Englishman and all i got to say is whoever fought for the Allies/Germans of WW1 & WW2 were brave boys/men. Remember some of them probably didnt want to fight but had to.

We should learn from the past to prevent further WW's.

  • @TheMortiis3 or at least know when to quit :-)

  • @TheMortiis3

oh dude, WW3 is on it's way

  • 3:42 The moment you begin to swing your head till you get headache.

  • This song makes me wanna fuck shit up.

  • Its unbievable the courage of all the soldiers that went over the top' to know they would almost certainly die!!!

  • R.I.P Harry Patch.

  • Very Sad to watch, Thank God we Didn't have to live through it, The Last of the WW1 Soldiers died a couple of years ago, God Bless them All

  • Never again, WWI should've never been.

  • Such an amazing song, only 1 of my friends is a true rock fan... it saddens me as to how many young people have never even listened to a rock song and recognised it... all they here is party rock/pop crammed in to their ears as if it was the only music that existed

  • @Adestructionproduct

One friend out of One friend that is. The rest cannot be.

  • @10000DisturbedFist I sorry, but they have been good friends my entire life...

  • i just saw the film where this clip is made of:

All quiet on the westrn front

    awesome

  • Dan0101010101010 also the german are incredibley embarresed for world war 2

  • @D3ADPUN1SH3R1 no, they're embarassed for the final solution and their anti-semitism in the 30's and early 40's.

  • Dan0101010101010 what the hell do you think your talking about ur probely jewish germans didnt start world war 1 u dick and world war 2 kinda reatelation.

  • Fuck the War and Up The Irons !!!!

  • Amazing lyrics, so much feeling, I choke up :/

As we charge the enemy lines

A burst of fire and we go down

I choke a cry but no one hears

Feel the blood go down my throat

  • well its the first war were the germans used gas and that was horrible if you see the damage it does!

that was at Ieper here in Belgium

  • Thumbs up if you're playing this song for Remembrance day!

  • there is a scene late in the movie passchendaele where the lead character after shooting as many as he could readies himself with a knife and his bayoneted rifle and says: here we go. then there is that hand to hand carnage. its very intense.

  • i'm from Belgium. when i see this video i cannot help but wonder, why do we praise those who died fighting against the germans? i mean, most of those germans had no choice but to go to war. they fought and died there too.

so i say: respect to all those men who died there, no matter what side they were on!

  • @MultiCyclops

See my spirit on the wind

across the lines beyond the hill

friend and foe will meet again

    those who died at Paschendale

This is in memory of all those who died there, the last verse pretty much says it.

  • @MultiCyclops Because the Germans lost the war, and history is written by the winners. So those who fought Germany are heroes.

  • @MultiCyclops i agree

  • @MultiCyclops Well you're partially right, although a fair percentage of the German troops did more than they had to. For example: they might have been ordered to do a specific task like raid a jewish block, but not only raided it but then beat and abused them as well. No disrespect to those who fought honorably though, as war is war.

  • @WeatherMaNhq i don't want to be the bad guy, but you do realize that this song and video is about WWI right?

  • @trololol011 It doesn't matter what it's about, somebody posted a comment pertaining to WW2 so I gave an accurate measure.

  • @trololol011 Indeed it is from the battle of Paschendale in World War 1 !

  • @WeatherMaNhq This is about world war I, and I also want to discuss with you about that ww2 fact, as a half German, my father's uncle fought as a German in Stalingrad when he was only a 16 year old boy, if he didn't, his whole family would got sent to a concentration camp. The Wehrmacht had nothing to do with the holocaust, that was the SS toteskopfverbände. What happened in the 40's was a shame to my country but the ordinary soldier couldn't do anything about it.

  • @iRawrJan I can't tell if you're on my side or against me...?

  • @WeatherMaNhq I'm on no side. Just wanted to clarify

  • @iRawrJan I have no idea how anything you said clarified something.

  • @WeatherMaNhq War is complicated. Deal with it.

  • @iRawrJan then leave internet and go and fight

  • @iRawrJan then leave the internet and go fight, then you'll learn what war really is... moron

  • @Limeni69 So you're a soldier and you know what war is?

  • @iRawrJan not a soldier but i've seen the war...4 years of it...

  • @Limeni69 Which one?

  • @iRawrJan The bloodiest one in Europe since WWII...

  • @Limeni69 You mean the Balkans? Chechnya?

  • @iRawrJan Well the Balkans ofc. I dont think Chechnya is in Europe...

  • @Limeni69 Technically, Yes.

  • @WeatherMaNhq My father's uncle was detained and treated like a pig in a russian gulag camp for ten years, no sides in a war are good. Both perform war crimes, and there is surely no victor. War is indeed war and its something horrific, and still governments support and start these things. Humanity has failed...

  • @iRawrJan we haven't fail just yet there still hope how ever small it is as long as humanity exists there will be hope

  • @iRawrJan We support war because its natural for humans to want more, more and more. In a way, humanity has suceded. However, the same exact thing could be said about religion.......

  • @iRawrJan Humanity has hope, when people see that we must stand as one, unite as a race, so we wouldnt need to argue about lands, resources, power or so on. But mankind will have hope only when people see that we should act as one, we cannot be forever a shattered race. But still, war has evolved us, in some ways.

  • @iRawrJan OMG SO WAS CAPTAIN PRICE

  • @iRawrJan War is the solution for over popu;ation of the world. Sounds harsh and it is, but with our war the world would be filled with poeple till there is no more room for them.

  • @metallicafan114 Perhaps if resources weren't wasted on war we'd have found a way to house all that population through bigger science and technologies hm?

  • @TragedySoldier

Actually, a lot of advances in science and technology in civilian life were made during wartime. A lot of creativity and bypassing the red tape is done when people are dying. The issues that are at the root of war is the problem that you are talking about. Society is like a drug addict and war is the drugs that replace the needed chemicals in your brain. Taking you off drugs will kill you (so we need them) but not doing them in the first place (change society)

  • @metallicafan114

That is one of the most uninformed comments I have seen in a long while. The reality is that the entire world's population could fit comfortable in the state of Texas, and be fed with the food that they let rot in the U.N storehouses each year. Overpopulation is not a natural problem, it is a political problem. It is like fitting a hundred people in a small room when there is a giant field outside. War contributes to overpopulation, rather than solve it.

  • @iRawrJan And yet, had the Allies not carried out the war against the Third Reich, I would never have been born - so you'll forgive me if I refuse to unilaterally condemn everyone for fighting. Much like I refuse to condemn assault victims for fighting back.

My grandmother is the only one in her family who left Auschwitz. Of course, it's also worth pointing out that she hated the communists more than she hated the Nazi - possibly because the Nazi got what they deserved, in the end.

  • @iRawrJan war is crime, the biggest crime. the ones whom has seen the end of the war are the dead... and that is sad and should not be.

  • ¡ɹǝƃä ǝƃıɹǝʌs

  • Anyone else who finds it impossible to not headbang to this?

  • 4:57-5:25 It doesn't get any more brutal and intimate as this. Point-blank shooting and hand-to-hand combat. Kill the other guy before he kills you. Close enough to watch the life vanish from his eyes.

  • i live not far from Paschendale i thank ol soldiers who helpted us from germany of ,god bles you and your familie

    MAIDEN RULEZ

  • For everyone that constantly keeps asking, the clips are from the 1979 TV version of All Quiet on The Western Front starring Richard Thomas and Ernest Borgnine. It is based on the book of the same name written by Erich Maria Remarque, who was a German soldier in WWI.

  • Comment removed

  • which movie is this

  • look up your missing the amazing video!!!!!

    and is it good

  • @MsGrindFreak its GREAT

  • @ApfelGanja That's cool I think I'll have to watch it but what's it about? Like is it all about the war or is it a love story like the movie Paschendale was.

  • @MsGrindFreak its about some german boys who sign up for the army, and the movie basically from their perspective. i wont spoil the rest for you, but its more war than romance

  • @MsGrindFreak theres two versions one is 1930, the other is 1979 or 1980 (i cant remember). and the book is from a german world war 1 soldier Erich Remarque written in 1928

  • @ApfelGanja Hey cool thanx :) Now I'll definately have to watch it :D or read it if I can find the book

  • @godley123 glory hogs

  • I remember a paintball field I went to with my friends once played music over loud speakers. It was playing this song, and just as the lyrics said "I can feel the falling rain, never see my friends again." it began to pour down in buckets. Was really intense.

  • I went to Belgium and France last autumm and I saw the battlefield of the Third Battle of Ypres(Paschendale) The distance between the trenches, the terrain and knowing that that was the wettest summer of the century just made me imagine the horror that battle was

  • nobody ever speaks about the wars of finland, in world war 1 finland had very bloody and brutal civil war and it ripped the whole nation in two part red's and white's and when the russians attacked to finland in 1939 it was the first time since 1917 when finlands nation was complete again and in winter war (1939) russians losses was ten times bigger than fins (250 000 dead/missing) and russians never ablod to capture finland so thank you all war veterans of finland:)

  • ALOT OF COUNTRYS SUFFERD DOING WW 2, NORWAY, POLAND, ENGLAND ALL OF THEM SUFERED, NORWAY AND POLAND WAS RULED BY NAZI DOING WW2, THE GERMENS LEFT PARTS OF NORWAY IN RUINS

  • Poor germans had to fight tanks for the first time. And the poor british had to fight inside them. In war, everyone suffers..
