That's not open tuning. You can clearly see the shape of the chords as she plays them. Except for the first chord which is a modified G, the D, F and then the key change to A are also clearly visible. Open tuning would have all the chords looking the same. ie just one finger all the way accross

This song is probably my favourite song of all time. I am only 22, but this song is truly beautiful. Makes you realise how cruel the majority of us have all been guilty of. It really puts into perspective whats important in life.
