  • (I'm looking at the last two runs.)

Suppose the pattern were 531, and the ball on top was a 1. Then it would become a 5 next. However, the top ball is always on top, so it can't be a 1. Thus it's a 3.

Underneath the top ball, two throws happen, so we all agree it's period 3. These two balls appear to move in a 501 orbit, so I think the siteswap is 531.

  • @dnb303 When I say 522, I mean 5 (2x, 2x), or something to that effect. In other words, the 2s are switching under the 5, only in this case, one is going over and the other is going under. The point is, they're thrown and caught simultaneously, so it isn't really 531.

  • @reubenharry Yeah, I almost pointed that out too. I think it's closer to (2x,4x)(4x,2)* in actuality. The top ball is the (2x,)(,2), and the first 4x looks like a hand-off to account for the staggered dwell time (to quickly switch hand position). Anyway, I'm loving all these new tricks you're posting. Your videos and 3b innovations are some of my favorites.

  • 531 with 1 on the top :)

  • @Draitube I think you mean the 3 on top? Heavily disguised as a 1!

  • @dnb303

    Or just 522...

  • @dnb303 do i? not sure about 522 as it really looks like it's crossing. why is it a 3?

  • Speedy - nice trick
