  • @metaldragon42

where did you get this recording? is it from one of the Old grey whistle test DVDs?

  • @MidnightIsolde Got it from my DVD "Judas Priest: Electric Eye" comes with all there Music Vids as well as "Priest Live" if you ever gonna get one Priest DVD this is the one to get ;)

  • That sht is deep. Why do I never see infomercials on the Old Grey Whistle Test? I would buy their collection. Too bad Halford started thinkin the microphone was somethin else. Happens to a lot of singers I guess...

  • I love them

  • 0:40 background voice: 2 face liar

    Sounds just awesomexD

  • @nuppert I think that's Glenn. He always does the backing vocals, so I assume so.

  • Is that KK Downing in the big hat?

  • fuck me this makes me feel old , deffo a classic old song from the might fucking judas metal gods priest \m/

  • Hummm ?

Why is K.K hiding his face like that?

    Otherwise Awsome video :)

  • Wow,very Plant...but better

  • OMFG Rob Halford

  • Damn, I can´t believe this is Judas Priest!!! Who would had known? Anyway they have always been great!! Reminds me of "This is Spinal Tap", where at the beginning they were a "Flower power" band...Great performance.

  • Rob looks like a woman. Hold on a second! HE WAS A HIPPIE!!!

  • I like this priest hell yeah

  • Hippies Priest... :D

  • Rob Looks cute here :P

  • ...good thing they discovered metal.

  • That is fuckin AWESOME! THX!

  • man, im sorry but im laughing at this, its so 70th's :D

  • @KnaRRaN1989

the 70s were the best Decade ever brother!

  • Who's the handsome devil on the vocals with all the hair? ...... ;)) oops, sorry Rob!!

  • I LOVE this early Judas Priest song. The driving bass line, The guitar work is flawless. Granted they hadn't got their heavy metal look straight yet, but this is still a fantastic song.

  • 2:05 "tampon igniter" LOL and yes i know what it actually says

  • She's a grip and choke ya.Heavy smoker

    Wrong side of the law.

    Midnight shady, good time lady

Heavy, ready show you what for

Barroom fighter, ten pint a nighter

    Definite ninety-nine

    Diamond cluster, knuckle duster

    Feline on the borderline

  • Judas Priest played at The Greyhound Rock Pub Fulham Palace Rd. This was the place I used to go to many times. The chicks were cool and the place was full of smoke.

  • Great live song. Thanks for posting.

  • some people saying rob is gay.its because they are lack of books and culture.the only culture they have it what they have at home gay brothers gay sisters.gay cars.gay clothes.i truly recommend you should read books, and at least see there is much things in life more important than putting these tags or classifyng stereo typyng people.

  • Fuckin' Great \m/

  • Gay or not ....they take thier place in the panthion of heavy metal , right next to Black Sabbath!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • its cool that robs gay i love that fact

  • i bet u do!!!!

  • @Wildchild880

    You didnt.....so i did!

  • Wow Rob Halford with long hair

  • So what?

  • Rob Halford is gay

  • So what? He's still a human being. And that voice...

  • @alanalvarezmartinez yes rob is gay ......i did him in the ass in 1986 at cobo hall in detroit michigan , he loved it ....so did i. I would be happy to do you in the ass as well . Let me know k. 10 Long 5 round ready to pump you up !

  • hay algun problema con q rob sea gay?

  • so are you

  • M3t4ll1Ca is bettah!!

  • Brilliant! Judas Priest didn't start heavy metal, but they gave it a good boot up the arse and sent it on its way. We're still feeling the effects of that 'boot'. And it is so good!!!

  • Priest imo, was the first band to take it out of rock entirely and go full-force into metal. not in this song in particular but with tunes like Victim of Changes and The Ripper.

  • Rob Halford looks like a woman here. Doesn't he?

  • Quite a contrast from the Screaming for Vengence album that's for sure. Gotta love KK's "groovy" digs...

  • Great song. Every Heavy Metal (I love that term) band around owes a debt to Judas Priest.

  • WHOOOOOOAAAAA!!!! GLENN TIPTON ON THE WAHH! thats a nice change, but k.k. is still the wah king in priest.

  • kk sticks with wah glenn sticks with kick ass sweeps and we're good

  • yea, kk is my idol, i solo just like him, him and i both just bust out a kick ass solo. lol kk's sustain in his little solo at 1:30, is horrible, thats the problem with those 50 watt marshalls.

  • im a glenn fan just starting to learn solos. maybe when i get some sweeps down we can jam lol.

  • anytime.....what gear you got?

  • Jackson Special Randy Rhoads a Behringer Vampire 75w amp and a Korg AX1G multi effects pedal. I've got a Boss DS-1 but im probably sellin' it

  • classic stuff...paved the way!!!

  • that 2nd solo is more like the other tipton 80's solos (: love it

  • hard to find? you have to be kidding me!!this song and album .its not hard to find!!

  • Just saw these fuckers live the other night.

    Shit was AWESOME!

  • Woah, woah, woah, buddy...

I didn't mean "fuckers" as in they were bad, I mean "fuckers" as in "BADASS MOTHERFUCKERS".

  • What the Fuck do you mean what the fuck??

  • I mean that Rob Halford looks like Joni Mitchell.

  • this video is gold! Judas Priest is the best!!!

  • Glenn Tipton is Rick Springfields older brother

  • Not quite,Wishbone Ash and Thin Lizzy did that first BUT priest perfected it.TOP BAND.Saw them live many times.SUPERB.Quality Rock/Metal.

  • how dare you call judas priest rock?! even if you added '/metal' on the end! Judas Priest are HEAVY METAL and nothing else. and this is not me trying to take the piss out of you, i'm just pointing out your unacceptable incorrectness(if that's a word)!

  • Real Rock

  • Bloody hell. I'd almost forgotten that Rob Halford once had hair. Priest was indeed a bit of a different animal when it first started out.

  • Glenn Tipton is my favorite guitarist.

His passion for playing, is amazing.

He feels every second of what he does. Look at his facial expressions.

I can honestly say he's one with his music, and no wonder why. Because some people might have the craziest skills, but if theyre not 1 with what they do, than they will never achieve the greatness they couldve

  • Met him twice.Top bloke and real polite too.Best guitarist out (K.K runs a close 2nd mind)

  • although, paul gilbert has super crazy skills and he's one with his music also. but doesnt mean the glenn can't be your guitarist that's not what i'm saying

  • @WickedxSoundz and he started guitar playing at 19 i still have a chance yet

  • @WickedxSoundz You're right. When he plays, he is feeling the music and controling his guitar work like a great healer and he's my favorite too, for years now (27 years?)

  • @WickedxSoundz Supposedly The Stones wanted Tipton but he wanted to front his own band ?

  • @WickedxSoundz he also plays and sings he had a band called the flying ht band and he sings a plays guitar

    like kurt and hendrix

  • The only cool hippies that existed.

  • Hey man! What about Zep, Sabbath, and Purple?!

  • OK, I take it back. You hit the nail on the head. Other than Sabbath, Zep, and DP. I guess Floyd was pretty cool as well. Am I forgetting any? :-)

  • You prob could add early Queen to that list ;)

  • the ORIGIANALS like Merl Saunders, Garcia, Legion of Mary, Kingfish, oh Gawsd I could go for hours.

Iggy pop, anyone? That crazy muthafucka did it all. Back when there was REAL music. Unlike today's "if it's over 3 minutes it's not a song" radio BULLSHIT! GOD I LOATHE modern era "rock" it's just such shite!!!

  • this is the first song with a 2 guitars solo

  • Please help! Should I get the Koch version, which has winter suite all on the 3rd track? or the repretoire record version which has all the tracks split up for the same price! Of course Iam talking about the Rocka Rolla album. Thankyou!

  • That's a tough one since the info pages are currently fucked! Take the Koch, because of the xtra track: Diamonds and rust! What do you fans think!

  • Don't be to sure that they are split yp!

  • If the blond with the glasses is behind the counter, I want to take her nearby and fuck her brains out! Take that Miss pjttt

  • yeah, i'm gonna see them live this friday

    in Hamburg, Germany!

    toghter with Megadeath and Testament

  • jajaja to hippie xd \m/

  • your videos are good!

  • This is one of the heaviest songs of all time... Judas Priest are heavy metal from fucking HELL!! Anyone that disagrees if obviously a feeble fool who wouldnt know metal if it was shoved up their fucking ass up into their brian! fuck off!!

  • Assuming they HAVE a brain!

  • Dear god, it's like watching a video of what your parents were like in the 70's!

  • this is before halford invented S&M. legend.

  • I always wanted to know what this song is about, can anyone tell me?

  • the solo sounds like a russian dance song

  • old, good judas priest

  • I totally dig this song!!! JUDAS PRIEST FUCKING ROCKS YEAH!!!

  • This is awesome. I love the first album. Side 2 is brilliant.

  • WOW.

It is weird to see the metal gods so young and still rocking.

And i must admit, it is surprising to see rob with long and straight hair.

  • i got every 15 album it's just that i don't like this video could have been better.

  • If you have all their albums, then you have sixteen.

  • kusindan:

What you are watching in this video is the beginnings of the best metal band that has ever existed: THE METAL GODS. You should be ashamed of calling them Hippy Shit.

This song comes from their very first album in 1974 "Rocka Rolla", so I doubt you have all of them like you say.

Long live the priest !!! \m/

    P. S. I'm 46 years old and I do have ALL Priest's albums.

  • Are they all on vinyl, the albums you have?? They are the best metal band, I agree. And Rob's voice is the BEST.

  • The first 13 albums from Rocka-Rolla to Ram it Down, they're all vinyl, the rest is cd's. And yes, Judas Priest is the best metal band and Rob Halford = THE METAL GOD, THE VOICE OF METAL.

    \m/

  • Awesome.

  • Yeah, but I'm sure all the first thirteen albums have been made into CDS by now, and I know there's a Nostradamus LP. But I was pretty sure Painkiller was released as a CD and a LP, correct me if I'm wrong.

  • Yes, the first thirteen albums were made into Cd's but I don't know about the Painkiller and Nostradamus LP releases.

  • I'm sure the Nostradamus was, I saw it for sale at a store, it had 3 LPs, 2 CDs, a sixteen page booklet with information about the album, a booklet with the lyrics and a poster. Cost about 200 bucks! But I'm sure Painkiller had an LP, Appetite For Destruction was one of the first albums to be released as a CD and LP. Soon their other albums did the same, and some came after Painkiller

  • This is Very Early Priest Indeed!

Love it, and the evolution of their music over the decades!

I have loved this song since I first heard it on the Priest import record Rocka Rolla, at least 20 years ago, thanks for sharring this gem. Love seeing Halford with the hair as well : )

  • Judas Priest was around for a while, longer than 27 years. Their sound evolved quite a bit over time.

  • This is probably the first time Ive heard the Priest referred to as 'Hippy Shit" but to each its own, Its some of the best Hippy Shit Ive ever heard! Rock on Priest!

  • Take a look at the painkiller or angel of retribution (My two favorite) albums...

Try hell patrol, painkiller, hellrider, demonizer, lochness, judas rising, etc and then tell me if all their stuff is "Hippy Shit"

  • was that even dave murray?

  • You've obviously never listened to Rocka Rolla, their first album...

  • You obviously don't have every Priest album if you've never heard Rocka Rolla, the song that they named their first album off of.

  • all you people who make stupped coments .the only thing that is stupped is your lack of knowlege in rock. without this back then ,we would not have what we have now dum ass!

  • this isn't the Judas Priest ive seen or heard, btw THIS IS HIPPIE SHIT!

  • All bands evolve, Priest has been around since 1970. What do u mean with "hippie shit" ? Most rock bands looked like this back in -75.

  • long before the camp motorcycle/leather days

  • OMG :O

    I LOVE KK'S SEXY HAT :D

  • Halford looks funny with long hair!

  • jp rules

  • Dude, this shit rocks

  • cud Rob look more G....... lol but who cares JP ROCKS!!! and i'm saying this as a die hard Metallica fan BUT I WILL ADMIT, if i never herd of Metallica, JP wud be my fav band

  • This is classic heavy metal! The purest heavy metal!

  • Amen to that, Hail Judas

  • Rock Classic Metal!

    like

    Hard Rock Metal!

  • THEY'RE THE METAL GODS !!!!

  • well they are now, but not in this video lol.

  • brilliant

  • KK looks so different with the colourful clothes. I kinda like it. :D He looks good in anything!

  • haha u think that funny look at hill he looks like a fuckin hippy lol the 70s were fucked

  • Definitely among the best of their early efforts. K.K. looks like a goof with the Stetson, though.

  • it's good to see Halford with long hair..:)

  • amazing who would have thought these guys would have created burn in hell and painkiller many years later

  • this song and ep! is awesome!!!!

    judas priest rulez!!!!

  • Just perfect! JP and Maiden have world best musicians. Well it´s so many good musicians but those are great!

  • Killer sound.

  • 1975*

  • I wish they would have stayed with this image, this music is SO GOOD. Hard to imagine if you look at "Metal Meltdown" and all that other heavy stuff.

I have the exact same hair as Rob in 1974. LOL

  • i love the harmony solo at 1.18

  • Metal had a very modest start I see. Amazing where the great hulking beast was spawned!

  • I find myself replaying this clip from 3:01 to 3:13 over and over and over again. What a fantastic groove! Definitely a precursor to the Priest that was to come.

  • Is it me or does Mr. Halford sound a little bit like Eric Idle at the start of this?

  • One of my favorite Priest clips -metal was so different then.

  • mmmmmmm... rob with hair lookin good :)

  • Amaaaaaaaaaziiiiing!!!!!!

  • damn... ian fckn rocked in the early years!!!

  • kickass song

  • God damn, Halford looks young. LOL.

  • LOL.. Halford WAS young. He would have been 24 here
