One of the books that got me into dystopian novels. Took me a bit to find it, ha. Had to get it from a library halfway across the state. Well worth it.
@sammy2trees Actually it has been confirmed that the director of Drive, Nicolas Winding Refn will be making the remake with Ryan Gosling as the main character in the film, Yay, I'm so exited! :)
The only bad thing is that the film is due for sometime in 2014, bummer!
Alll the poussy you could possibly want. I might be able to go with that. But it doesn't say you could smoke [ cigars, that is] .But we've got plenty of human evolution and sifting out to go through before we realise an era whereby there's sufficient quality pussy for all existing males, I must say. And its only a few centuries into the future, give or take a decade.
An actual STARGATE/PORTAL-THING was caught on film in New Mexico. The footage can be found within the short-film entitled "SUDDEN PORTHOLE", which is parked at the PROJECT CAMELOT YouTube page (it's under the George Noory video).
I'm not selling anything…I'm just trying to spread the word about the unseen-dimensions we find ourselves embedded in.
My BLOG contains peripheral data regarding the movie and is where I reply to the "debunkers" (use search words "SAM ZURICK" & "BLOG"). THANKS!!
This movie reminds me of "Rollerball". Both postulate a society of security and prosperity. The "gov't" (the city, corporations) provides everything for you. But at a terrible price. For Rollerball, that price was individual liberty. For Logan's run, it was life itself.
Both explore the the question of surrendering freedom for security and comfort. A *very* significant question today.
Hard to believe that just a year later Star Wars would make this movie seem almost dated in its conception , style and SFX....Logan's Run was pretty much the end of the early to mid 70's earth style distopian sci -fi movies like Planet of the Apes, Soylent Green, THX-1138 and Phase IV(that came out of the Watergate era)...SW would take sci -fi back in to space.
