Valve should really watch this video to remember how they USED to do things. Free items and updates and not relying on fans to do all the work for them. Now its just buy buy buy all the stuff.. crates, keys, fan made items with skull kill icons.

The game is still sorta fun but watching this video reminds me of how the game and Valve used to be. Sad at the path they went now. They watched Wall Street one too many times with "Greed is good".

what if a medic did the critical thing on another medic and he used the Vampire gun? would it do crits?

the ubercrit increases the chance from 10% (whatever the crit rate for the weapons are) to 100%. The vampire gun has no critical hit ability so there's no crit rate to raise to 100% so as much as I want to say that your strategy would be smart it will not be possible. what you could do is 2 medics with different ubers on 1 other class for a invincible crit rush.

the new weapons dont alter the classes beyond distinction! they just allow you to play each class in a more diverse way.. ie the damage buffage instead of simply healing. Theres still all the distinction needed between defensive, offensive n support.

I doubt these updates will come to consoles anytime soon. For 360, Microsoft has a rigorous certification process and they don't like giving stuff away for free (Geometry Wars Retro Evolved was originally supposed to be free).

As for PS3, EA published it, so I think they have to do something as well for the updates.

Maybe one day, we will get the glorious updates.
