All you lot who hate the new stuff must be collecting your pensions soon... oh wait you probably spent it all on gurners... Nah just playin. I dont hate this tune i just enjoy the new stuff more. lets spread the love of DnB
Thing is, I was about 15/16 in 1992, these days the DnB wouldn't get me into it, like it isn't getting young people into it the way the 1992 stuff did. Where are the illegal raves? Its all dead now compared to back then. I put most of it down to Tango, look at the tunes (and remixes) he made. Typical 1992 stuff, I would even argue he created the whole thing himself!
People that listen to all that SHIT new Drum & Bass... what the fuck must you think when you hear genuine class like this. No one today can make or beat these tunes, no point trying, you might as well just keep listening to the old classics, all the new stuff is wank, I went off it in about 1996 when this style seemed to have been taken as far as it can.
@eXPerienceyeah Been listening to Jungle since 'just for U london' came out in 1991.
What you said is total bullshit, I love the oldskool rollin breaks, but there has been plenty shithot Drum and bass since. Take Goldies 'Timeless' album, go listen to Split the Atom 'Sunhammer' feat Amon Tobin or Diplodocus etc.
Drum and bass is still cutting edge as it used to be and the kids now are still making quality D&B just as good as this. Don't be so lazy and find the good stuff :/
@recordsondabed When people tell me their favorite DnB is by netsky, or pendulum it just makes you wonder if they have ever heard the classics :/ I agree that some of the artists today are making good quality DnB for this time period, and are definitely cutting edge. however when you go back to the beginning through 95 and parts of 96 the sound, movement, and culture of the music sets itself apart. The best part of that period is hands down the quality of Dj's which just cant be matched.
@recordsondabed Well said man. Jungle gained when it morphed into DnB. I love these old school tunes, but the tunes that are out now are HEAVY.... It's like 1993-95 all over again!
got an old tape from force fm i think, got this on it and its just sooooo sick! i always remember the dj reading out the phone number over it haha, 0956, 649, 3... 1... 5!
absolute classic hardstep jungle, one of the best jungle tunes ever nuff sed. i got highly recommended on cd, treasured to fuck. would love it on vinyl tho!
Been swapping it all onto MP3 on a crapy USB deck with no gain controls :( ...this tunes dark distorted anyways , my version sounds exactly the same as this .. engineer !!
I remember when grooverider,ss,& kenny ken used to sample the begining of this & add the letters of their names to it.They were some of the best tapes iv heard. If you can get hold of it,get the keeping the fire burning tape pack from 95 at helter skelter, the drum & bass tapes from that are some of the best iv ever heard.
