Honestly, there's not much to it. The felt is made using fractal noise and the card is an illustrator file I made. There's no trick to it - no physics simulations or expressions - just regular keyframe animation. I just dropped a card on my desk over and over until I knew what it looked like.
TIP: Its too solid.

Oh, I get it. Yeah, I suppose that could work, but I didn't have a 3D deformer plugin at the time.
