  • Personally, what turns me against this episode is defense of aristocracy; bowing animals make me sick to the stomach.

  • @Visvaldas Obvious Troll is obvious

  • @Visvaldas you have a point,its true.

  • woulda been a real downer if rafiki had dropped him after all that

  • Does anyone else got this song on their Ipod too?

  • yeah son

  • When the sun shines down on Rafiki and all the animals start bowing to the king, tears roll down on my face. Every. Time.

  • Lol the little mouse at the very end.

  • Why does this song make me want to crrryyyyy?! D= Love it though!

  • I Was Born The Same day Simba was Born

  • One of the single-most powerful pieces of animation ever created. The perfect blend of animation, art direction, perspective and the sheer magic of the music to top it all off. Breathtaking every time!

  • @cmk04 agreed

    im pretyy high though

  • best disney movie ever along with probablly beauty and the beast cinderella finding nemo snow white but definitely this first best intro to any movie in history

  • Easily one of the best openings in a movie ever. And that's not only compared to other children's movies, but compared to anything in the whole industry.

  • anybody thought as a little kid that Raffiki was going to...you know... drop Simba.

  • who sings this version?

  • that was fucking awesome........

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE> It is just so....so...EPIC!!! There's no other word for it!!!

  • Why did Disney have to go down the drain with their new movies?

In this, the animals were realistic, not JUST cool looking and insaney agile or strong. They moved realistically and acted realistically aside from speaking English. THIS MOVIE IS EPIC!!! (sparta kick)

  • This films so epic even now, cant wait for the 3D version coming out soon!

  • damn, Mufasa had a lot of lionesses chillen on pride rock. Sarabi must be his bottom bitch

  • 4:31 Mouse!!!!

  • lol it was pumba's fart that made them bow.

  • Mouse at the end made me laugh for some reason!

  • Holy shit... This is even more awesome today, 18 years after I watched it the firts time...

  • While the sun is coming up over the waterfall, this quote comes in my head "Everything the light touches is ours" <3

  • raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaafiki

  • it's one of the few melodies that will always bring tears of joy to my eyes. i've been to kenya as a kid, to the masai-mara, and trust me: the scenery, the wildlife, the pure freedom and peacefulness of the place, it really is that beautiful!

  • Amazing. Another reason the USA is the best country in the world

  • @Tdot21st uh dude I'm a fellow American, but outside of Disney being an american company, we didn't have much with this, the songs are either traditional African or made by a British man

  • just imagine when this movie came out and people were sittin in the theater and little did they know that they were just about to watch the best disney cartoon ever made

  • the intro to this movie always used to scare the living shit outta me!

  • When I am lying on my deathbed, I will watch this movie one last time.

  • I whip the heir back and forth.

  • You need to see this on broadway... It was the best performance that I have seen in my entire life..

  • The best Disney film ever made, without a shadow of a doubt!!

  • One of the best sequences in animation history. However I disagree that Disney make 'junk' today. The Princess And The Frog and Tangled show the magic is still there - let's hope we are entering another golden age for Disney animation.

  • I wouldn't trade one frame of this segment for the hours of junk Disney creates today.

  • great job

  • Wonderfull, just wonderfull. This is one of the few movies I know who is absolutely perfect. Not a single flaw. Anyone else who agree with me that this is Disney's most exelent movie, despite they have make a lot of masterpieces?

  • goosebumps, anyone ?

  • this was literally the first movie i watched completely as a child lol i was only a few months old

  • @javier032492 how do you remember when your a few months old lol

  • @tdevil101 my mother told me lol! she told me it was the first time she took me to the movies and i saw the entire thing lol!!!

  • just beuatiful... what happen they make a movie with real people

  • Nants ingonyama bagithi BabaSithi uhm ingonyama

Nants ingonyama bagithi baba Sithi uhhmm ingonyama ingonyama

Siyo Nqoba Ingonyama (Ingonyama nengw' enamabala x9000)

  • this song makes me way way way WAY too happy and exciteable to be classed as a 17 year old male. also, imax v3d verisont his year anyone?

  • 3:07 WHEN THE MONKEY RUBS THE COCONUT JUICE ON HIS FOREHEAD IT SPELLS SEX LOOK VERY CLOSELY ONE EXAMPLE OF SUBLIMINAL MESSAGES.

  • @TheDrjman1 get laid doosh bag

  • @TheDrjman1 ive never seen anything that looks less like sex.

  • NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA SAWET ENYAAAAAAAA SAWA WEE WAWEWA SINYA YEAY

    haha..

  • Lion King has one of the best intros in all of the movies ever. And eventhough it has been years since this movie was released, it still never fails to send chills down my spine whenever I watch this and I just keep coming back for more.

  • damn, mufasa's a giant compare to rafiki

  • Wat African language is this?

  • i fxnn love thiss <3

  • epic shit

  • It's strange... when ever I look back at a cartoon from my childhood, even though they may induce some very blissful nostalgia, they don't nearly have the same charm they had when I was a kid. The acting is terrible, the animation is terrible, the shows didn't just age quite well, and you get the feeling that you've outgrown it.... but not this, even with all the advances in technology lately, and the changes in directorial style, this remains one of the most awesome things I have ever seen.

  • simply Priceless.... thank you so much for this uploading in a true HQ quality. I miss so much this movie, I want this movie in Blue - ray for my kid, (hopefully someday) whom I show true "cartoons" old animated movies FAR MUCH better than the new ones; and whose birth teached me the meaning of Mufasa expresions in the intro: True Pride and Happiness for his Son.

tears went down my face, thanks again for the intro man!

  • This movie & Pocahontas are possibly the best Disney ever created

  • @Inv4derxXx ummmm toy story!!!

  • @WeatherManToBe toy story is top 10... no musical score whatsoever

  • This is awesome, I've been searching for this and you basically have the best quality and right volume and also.... the pitch of the song sounds like its supposed to unlike some of the other HQ versions. This is the best intro for a disney movie and most people dont know how much went into making it, thats what makes it a classic. Thanks for the right upload!

  • @TheBlacknight81 thanks so much, it means allot to me that you appreciate this amazing animation. truly groundbreaking!

  • @TheBlacknight81 Definitely agree. Best picture quality, plus the volume isn't too low like it is on the other uploads.

  • @exmortis Ohhh man, i seriously took a look at most if not all post for the lion king intro and some of the video qualities were either bad to horrible or the actual song was just off key... What I mean by that is, this video here, looks and sounds just like the movie where as others, it would be the same tempo but the pitch was higher. It didnt even sound like the movie version at all.... lol, madness

  • @TheBlacknight81 I like the intro for The Huncback of Notre Dame aswell, it's like 9 minutes long with an epic start and ending.

  • @TheBlacknight81 what you mean disney ripped off the madagascan guy who wrote this and barely payed him anything for it?

  • @Fionntan1000 *scratches head* Ok, there's been A LOT of controversy surrounding this movie but 1st off, there's around 30 writers involved, so says imdb.com so im gonna need you to specify. 2nd What does your statement/question have to do with my post about the clarity/sound quality of Christophermatar's video? And 3rd, whats with your statement, are you askin me something or making a point? Its a bit confusing.

  • "BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH... ZE KENYAAAAAAAA!"

    My favorite part.

  • @piepeep90 .... not even close....

  • holy cow, i still get gooseboomps..~

  • Listen to that. The lyrics have meaning and the music is incredible, written and composed by true professionals. Unlike the shit the Disney of today does.

  • whos the african coir that does the intro?

  • i really wanna get high and watch this movie now

  • You cant miss the "Lion King" at the end lol

  • From this to Miley Cirus.... Makes me want to cry. ;(

  • @DevLcL hahahahaha...I LOVE African music.

  • @southparkfan2717 Lol I hate those faggots too. Bring back old school disney

  • so amazing. i absolutely love this.

  • how AMAZING is this music?

I dont know many movie soundtracks that really ARE the atmosphere in some way and give you so much... so calming and pure, isnt it?

This african beats and harmonies are so very... human. thats it, me thinks.

    Thanks Disney for incredible music!!

  • thank Hans Zimmer, Lebo M., Marc Mancina, Elton John and Tim Rice. They are the masterminds behind it all.

  • i take my hat off to them.

  • I think this is my favorite song of all tiiiiiiiiiiiime
