Thanks. I did and at first I couldn't figure out how come she was a he and dead (wrong Sam Phillips)! Then I went to the disambiguation feature and got to the right place. I think I can relate to her as she's definitely from my generation, from CA, and influenced (ironically) by a Christian musician (Randy Stonehill) who made a big impact on my life when I was in college. thank god this lovely linnet left evangelicalism when she did. but i must admit that today things aren't near as parochial as the were in the 80s and 90s. the line between secular and christian music is sufficiently blurred today that she would not have had to make a break to expand her success and artform. she was a pioneer.
