is there any tone monsters? like not available, but like the first batch that was made, or like a single like 2 or3 tonemonsters that phil x owns? theres now reason for me asking, just wanted to know:)
@iVai777 please email me at debra at frettedamericana com for any questions regarding the EVIL*ROBOT line....and yes, the E*R Head is available NOW!!!!!
Part 2: Also played it with the channels jumped. I was equally surprised how articulate it was on every string of each of these guitars. The vibrato was lush, organic, natural and way fun! The build is very cool and quite authentic down to all the details I could see. I can't imagine anyone not wanting this amp as a killer studio or great small club amp.
I was lucky enough to get to play the Tonemonster last night, that will be used for the demo clips. It's a Rock N Roll TIme Machine, in that I could get a tone for just about any style and period! From rich clean to banging drop tuned rock! I've played Phil's original amp and this is all that and I'd have to say a bit more! I tried Les Paul Std, Les Paul DC w/ P-90s and a Strat.
Now if I could only figure out how to play as well as Phil ;)
If you check out other hand made in the USA, point to point, all tube boutique amps the price is actually very competitive. Heck, a hand wired VOX Heritage AC15H1TV 1X12 combo has a MAP of $1399 with a MSRP of $1950.
However, some of the Silvertones from the 60's do seem to sound pretty similar to the Tonemaster.
Now you guys are thinking; this was so obvious...should have happened sooner. Better late than never, eh? Time to scrape up some coin.... Keep on Rockin Phil!
the price may be a little expensive but for a handmade amp? especially a copy of such a rare amp? thats a steal...try getting that from marshall or fender.
guys, if you made the amp any cheaper, then you have to start cutting corners somewhere, remember the guys/s who built the amp have to make something as well, we all work for some reason and if you want a dirt cheap amp there are plently of cheap chinka rip off examples out there, and yes they have cheap transformers, and printed circuts, and chinese speakers, with cheap wiring and comprimises all through the build, this looks like a fair looking amp to me fair go guys its a nice looking amp
Great. So glad to see You actually made the Quality Standards/Specs what they should be. Much respect for not cashin' in with a mass produced repackaged haze or bugera
Hey FA, I just wanted to let you know I will make myself available to be part of the extensive demo team. I can provide you with a mailing address to send a Tonemonster. :-)
Here's my 2 cents about the price: It's comparable to any similar combination of "lunchbox" head (orange dual/tiny terror, mesa transatlantic, etc) and a good speaker. And if you look at most combos these days they're using shitty power sections (including the transformers and circuitry).
When you consider all that, the price seems dead on for an American made combo with these high quality components.
I'm curious as to how much you complainers thought it was going to be...?
fuck yea man! it just keeps gettin better and better shit i dont have the bones to get one rite now but i still think its an awesome idea and im real glad frettedamericana n phil did this MAJOR PROPS!!
There are extensive demos of the amp in the works sit tight, we are merely alerting you to the opportunity and the chance to secure 1 of the 100 in the making... this amp will blow your mind! you think Phil would put his name on a dud??
@kaz3kag3gaara Haha, so true. These videos are entertaining but only a small minority of people who watch could afford one of the guitars and an even smaller group would ever actually buy one.
well im gona have to sell my record collection,my amp,my guitar,my pc,tv and bed so my room is gonna be prety empty and no guitar to play but atleast ill have an awesome amp -.-
WHAT THE FUCK FA u need to show us what it sound likes these specs mean nothing u could have just punched me in the stomache when the sound went out when phil started playing PLEASE release some sound from it
@61SGman why? so you can kill people who live in different zip codes then u?
all you need 18 watts you can mic it live and your not playing madison square garden... and even then you can mic it. and its louder then your standard solid state... all tube amps are. youd fine that 18 watts is quite enough
@doggfather123 Lol - most of Orange Amp combos cost in excess of $1400, and a LOT of them cost over $2,000, unless you get a AD5 or Tiny Terror combo, which you can't compare to the Tonemonster because you have no demo yet.
Wait for a demo - Phil has done more studio work, and worked with more gear than you've seen with your eyeballs, let alone actually played. And look at his own rig - the guy is obviously serious about his tone.
and this contest scchould be in about 20 classes for beginners( they really need the tonemonster :-)) how long the player played guitar till now you know when u played 1 month your class a and 3 classes for advaced ( #1semi,#2 semi pro and # 3totally pro but no band to be)and the pros they only get one cause there can only be one:-
