Who makes the super charger? How much boost ? What other mods have been done to the 300? Any other accessories need to make it run that fast ? Any idea how much HP the 300 has now?
@camiroz I am not say that the vette isn't fast it's just I seen with my eyes what these 5.7 and 6.1 monsters can do with that sts kit you can even see on you tube what these beast do to vettes trust me sts changes the playing field but once again not taking nothing away from the vette it's still a great car

What you just said made no sense at all. Chevy made a C5 Z06 and a C6 Z06. The "intergrated headlights" are a feature on the C6, which is the current generation of Corvette, not an option package. You cannot tell a Z06 from a base model by the headlights.
The srt8 doesn't require a lot of money to mod, no more than a ZO6. Exhaust, headers run about the same. My srt8 looks just like this one, but I'm not in the 11's yet. Plus, I can run close to these numbers sittin in my heated leather/suede seats watchin a dvd on the nav screen with a couple of friends in the back. Thats why the srt8 is a bad mutha&^%&*!! Unless you just a broke fool they aren't expensive cars either.
the new z06s are faster then f430s and gallardos on tracks and straight lines you feel me and there stock, theres kits that range from 600-1000hp ($10 grand - $40 grand) for the z06

I wouldn't really call it a luxury sedan. A BMW 7 Series is a hefty luxury sedan. The only SRT-8 product I personally admire is the Jeep GC SRT-8 but oh well, tomato tamahta.
Sedan would be it. I wouldn't really consider Chrysler as having any Luxury brand with the exception of the Jeep Commander loaded, and the GC Loaded. most superchargers have very high limits so it depends on how much power the engine will allow...i know a guy that has 615hp on a charger srt8 which is virtually the same car...with a supercharger, cold air intake and a few other things
to swap pulleys other mods have to be done like i stated earlier. or their will be knock... you may be able to drop 1 or 2 sizes but nothing major that will get you 175hp without havent to make other modifications. with other mods ofcourse 175 is most def. not out of the question

yes the pontiac is an excellent choice if your looking for speed at bargain price. The 300 though looks at home parked out front of the fancy restaurant with the benz and bmw. it gives you the big rich looking car with the speed so best of both but yes you could probably make that g8 sick fast and still not spend to much
Guys a vette is a tiny two seater. There may be faster cars than the 300 srt but unless you want to go huge money with a european car you wont find any car that can match the 300 balance of speed, size and luxury.
they only tested the G8(6.1L) against the Charger(5.7L) not the Charger SRT8(6.1L)... The G8 is a great platform and looks mean! but its also ben used before in Austraila.. It will prob git a Z06 motor and a six speed in the future but with simple mod's SRT8's run well into the 12's
The G8 GT is 6.0 cast iron, not 6.1. The G8 GXP coming out next year will have a 6.2 aluminum LS3 with 402hp & 402tq, M6, estimated to run 13.0 stock!
When they do come out they will probably run around the same times as the SRT8's.. I liked the G8 until i seen 1 on the street.. it looks ok and all but it doesn't have the presence of an SRT8.. SRT8's have that pure muscle car look, feel and sound
auto can be quite a bit better than manual when it comes to the quarter mile depending on how much you want to dump into the internal parts of the tranny bearings,internal flywheel,ETC. trust me its worth it ^^
uhhh the stock automatic tranny they stick in cars is pretty lame if you spend time and oney and get a new tranny itll be good but it doesnt take much skill to drive a manual once you get used to it
Nice kill for the 300 but man he must have been running alot more boost than just the normal 10psi bolt on supercharger to trap 122mph! Head and cam Z06 would murder that car.
4000+ lb bussiness coupe vs. 3100 lb super-aerodynamic sports car. The SRT8 Jeep can run 12.9 stock......and it's a Jeep...... The 300 even faster with slicks. An old 426 HEMI Challenger would beat that 'Vette too and it's a boat weighing 4000+ lbs also. Chrysler just knows what the fuck they're doing. Chevy does too, but Dodge has always been known for having the most torquey motors
The vette could have been stock being a c5 Zo6. Those were normal 1/4 mile times for that year model. The new Zo6 runs 11.5 stock so it would have been a better race for the SRT8.

yeh i agree, the 300 is best of both worlds with that big block hemi and luxury it provides, the charger is a family car with attitude and the challenger is top dog if u wanna hemi

The '09 G8 GXP has 402hp & tq, so the Challenger might keep up with it. But it still has to beat a '02 T/A or '06 GTO, and I doubt it will.

yes the pontiac is an excellent choice if your looking for speed at bargain price. The 300 though looks at home parked out front of the fancy restaurant with the benz and bmw. it gives you the big rich looking car with the speed so best of both but yes you could probably make that g8 sick fast and still not spend to much

i've sat in both and i would take the GTO over the 300. even on the out side it looks better. i think the chargers and 300s are ugly it way to big.

Guys a vette is a tiny two seater. There may be faster cars than the 300 srt but unless you want to go huge money with a european car you wont find any car that can match the 300 balance of speed, size and luxury.

they only tested the G8(6.1L) against the Charger(5.7L) not the Charger SRT8(6.1L)... The G8 is a great platform and looks mean! but its also ben used before in Austraila.. It will prob git a Z06 motor and a six speed in the future but with simple mod's SRT8's run well into the 12's

The G8 GT is 6.0 cast iron, not 6.1. The G8 GXP coming out next year will have a 6.2 aluminum LS3 with 402hp & 402tq, M6, estimated to run 13.0 stock!

When they do come out they will probably run around the same times as the SRT8's.. I liked the G8 until i seen 1 on the street.. it looks ok and all but it doesn't have the presence of an SRT8.. SRT8's have that pure muscle car look, feel and sound

auto can be quite a bit better than manual when it comes to the quarter mile depending on how much you want to dump into the internal parts of the tranny bearings,internal flywheel,ETC. trust me its worth it ^^

4000+ lb bussiness coupe vs. 3100 lb super-aerodynamic sports car. The SRT8 Jeep can run 12.9 stock......and it's a Jeep...... The 300 even faster with slicks. An old 426 HEMI Challenger would beat that 'Vette too and it's a boat weighing 4000+ lbs also. Chrysler just knows what the fuck they're doing. Chevy does too, but Dodge has always been known for having the most torquey motors

The vette could have been stock being a c5 Zo6. Those were normal 1/4 mile times for that year model. The new Zo6 runs 11.5 stock so it would have been a better race for the SRT8.

lol ur such a tard first gtos are only 400 hp, if ur sayin the gto is stock, second a 335I is a 4 or 6 cylinder and if It has 330 hp that means it is stornger then a STI which if I remember stock 335Is are not that strong, in fact the 5 series bmws arnt even that strong. and if it did happen which I doubt the GTO wa sprob bone stock and the BMW prob had nirtrous shots and twin turbo... which if the gto had would still cost less then the bmw and would maul the bastard

dude the stock times for a 335i at best on a 1/4 mile r 13.7 while the 6.0 GTO hits low 13s high 12s depending on driver. now if the gto driver has no idea how to drive then i could see him loosing, but otherwise no. besides GTOs r yet to be forced inducted so for the dollar id go with my gto :) bmw sucks btw overpriced imo unless its the M series of course. ill give the m series props.
