the beginning of the end right here for the voice, it's a bit raspier/deeper like it was since 97 but still sounded amazing possibly even preferable for some songs, the same sound only the its starting to sound more tired and forced with shorter breaths and shorter held notes and after that it's allllll down hill from there.

That has nothing to do with it, Freddy Mercury smoked a lot and it did nothing to his voice.

The problem with Liam's voice is the way he sings, he sings in an awkward position and has been stretching his vocal chords since he started singing that way.

Apart from that you're right, he cigarettes and booze haven't helped him.

They had their reign over the world for about 4 years, 94-98 and after that it just collapsed, they turned into the opposite of what they set out to be, also the "self belief" thing got boring after a while, it's true that they were untouchable, but they're no where near top these days.
