@sniperboy1754 yes, it definitly is, u know that sensation u get in your throat when u drink soda? the eyes watering and all that? well, its basically the same thing with soda water, and u definitly dont want that before u sing/while u sing

dude if you do it right all smokings going to do is make it worse now if you want to screw up your throat and sound ok then yea smoking will help. but if you want to sound good and not have to talk with one of those voice vibraters then dont smoke and use your diaphram if it hurts your throat your doing it wrong

All he did was watch "The Zen of Screaming" by Melissa Cross, she teaches pretty much every single vocalist in Hardcore and Metal, and these tips are really similar. Except if you scream from the throat instead of the chest it will rip your vocal chords and you won't last more than a year of doing it often.
