Of course. The style used nowadays is Fosbury (as he has done in this vid), yet, you can even jump with the antique scissors style. During the jump you can clap, dance, talk... whatever; the only thing you have to do is jump and pass the bar, no matter how (obviously without a pole :) ).

i used to do this drill pre-meet in high school! but the bar was only about 1.55m, haha. this is a good drill, i have seen ed jacoby do this drill with his guys, jake jacoby and troy kemp.
