I had been trying to remember which honoree had the finale with the NYC cops & firefighters because I remember watching this years ago and being so moved by it. Thanks for posting it!!!
God bless, that was one of the best finales ever.... of course Streisand and her libtard friends couldn't bring themselves down from their perches.... but everyone else was touched and crying.
It was Good, I really love Rob Thomas but that song belongs to The Who and there are some songs that can be done well but will never match original, this is one of them!!! Great touch to add the NYPD and NYFD

I don't think Roger and Pete were 'scared' or disgusting any performance. In fact, they maybe be honored and touched to watch the efforts of all those young people who could be their sons playing and singing their songs, one generation after. They're proud and touched with all of them.
Obviously they know no one can sing and play those songs like they did and do, just them, The Who.
This conversation here is nonsense and ridiculous.
This is soooo beautiful, feel like I am communicating for real right now with Pete and Roger (of course I'm probably not) but still --- what a wonderful tribute and payback to these guys! Nice surprise and well deserved.
saw this on tv and so glad to find it posted on youtube...the who got me through 9-11 (especially wont get fooled again) ..having all my family in nyc this really brought tears to my eyes ..what an honor and your know how appreciative daltry/townsend were... watch the concert for ny and you will see how they rocked the place.
Thank you so much for posting this video. Rob Thomas did a wonderful job with this song. I love it. Then to top it off the police and fire dept. singing "they're all wasted". Perfect! Rob you just keep getting better and better.
That finale with the NYC cops and firefighters is awesome! What a tribute/payback to Daltry and Townshend who rocked them at the Concert for New York City post 9/11. Payback, in this case, is rich! Love them all

roger looked mad at the beginning but when those soldiers (that's who i think they are) sang the teenage wasteland Roger was so glad.
Is this before or after Matchbox20?
drumraider 2 years ago
@drumraider Not soldiers but police & firemen from NYC. They were honoring Pete & Roger after their stellar performances in NYC after 9/11.

The reaction Pete and Roger get is just beautiful. These are moments to remember.
