  • I'm thinking of doing the once a month cooking. where in the store did you find that kind/size of ham? and what store

  • I do this., I put some in a food processor and freeze in 1 cup bags for pea and ham soup, for use in a quiche, for use in omlettes, stratas, breakfast muffins, layered in a scalloped potato dish with veges and cheese layered in for a one pot meal, sliced for suppers, or for breakfast with eggs, to add to a pizza shell with pineapple and cheese, added to sour cream on top of baked potatoes, for ham and corn chowder.Add to pasta, with veges and sauce. I do this with beef and chicken also.

  • This is great, Thank You!

  • Good Job ! & that Ham will Freeze for what 2-4 months ? I like Diced Ham in Split Pea Soup ! YUM:)

  • wow thats a lot of ham - wish i could find that deal here.

  • We love anything frugal : )

  • I got a commercial meat slicer at an estate sale for $30, later found out the thing retailed for $600!

  • You can buy a good and cheap slicer at cabelas or cabelas dot com. I found one at the good will for 3 dollars. You can also buy a roast or steaks (cheap lean cut) and make jerky.

  • Hey where did you buy your slicer?

  • Hell yea!

  • Great idea! I would have never thought to do that. Thanks Cindy =)
