I was here at this IKC during that time.I note that Ray Wizard and other BKF members are absent, but that's okay this video wasn't designed to focus on them.Wish we had those videos though
@MrSaber152 the correct way to spell this style is Kenpo, beacuse it refers to the chinese origins of the art. Ken means fist and po means law, so kenpo means law of the fist
@1003jbeltran That is incorrect. Technically, it can be either. however, Kempo is supposed to be the correct english spelling of the word translated from Japanese. Kenpo was a type-o. Research people, this is common knowledge.
@osbornehunter He took many students away from Parker like, Dan Inosanto, Joe Lewis, Tom Bleecker and many others. After Bruce Left to start his film career he disbanded his schools and many Kempo students returned to Parker. Secondly, you don't think a kempo fighter looks stiff and rigid.
@clearcombat i agree with u, these guys with parker included are not fighters, they are fancy dancers, or tchnique performers,or whatever else but not fighters
@albcorason - AMEN , yes so true , why else would they stand motionless and allow the person next to them to be attacked , this is like watching River Dance or the Radio City Rockettes
@rentatrip1 ive trained a lot and 'studyed' many martial arts, i belive that one must free his mind of forms and ideas of styles, and think what realy needs a man in ea real fight! u know in a real combat a person can bite, can use his fingers or nails, his teeth, his legs and arms in anyway posibble, now the techniques or ways of any martial art is a generalized eficiant way, but not the only for it may have thousand of variations, so the way is 'no way as a way' like Lee said, all best to u
I like how they stand there after a punch, etc., and wait for the defence. For realistic... like a movie.

This is the old concept of fighting. Bruce Lee made fun of kempo saying it was to stiff.
He was right.

Wow, it's great to be training with Mr.trejo now. I've never really seen him in action. Major respect for him and Ed Parker.
