  • fantastic vocal, strings, horns, a brilliant northern classic

  • I'm looking for the song she sings, "I don't want to be lonely" Any one know????

  • massive stoke floor filler

"feets dont fail me now " love it

  • Sergio's baby sister! He was born in 1926, and she was born in 1944. Good stuff!

  • interest lies? 2% below inflation dear don't calm down PANIC!

  • just brilliant

  • This is a great song. I have the Simon and Garfunkel version but this is far better. Thanks :)

  • Epic dance record !

  • just pure class

  • I first saw Dana singing at age 13 or 14 at our Christmas staff party in Standard Bank of S.A.Ltd., Benoni Branch,Gauteng.South Africa in 1961 or 1962 few years before she began her recording career.

  • brilliant reminds me of cleethorpes ktf

  • Seen a copy of this by CORRINE GILLIES - has anybody heard that version? I haven't - I just wondered how it compared to this GEM!!!!!!!!!!

  • Just brilliant, sure takes me back

  • Not only did she have the voice to suit the song, she also had the look-this lady haunted my memory for years. Lovely.

  • !!!!!!yes!!!!!

  • wonderful Northern Soul :)) ktf

  • i do believe the male vocal accompaniment on this was Paul Simon

  • recorded in 1967

  • Love this song.. brings back very many memories thanks for the share :) xx

  • This is a fantastic soul sound. I'm sure that in 1977, I and many others like me had no concept that this song was sung by a white woman. To me, this song knocks the pants off Frank Wilson. But that is my opinion and it would all be very boring if we all liked the same stuff. This song is also sang by Simon and Garfunkel. Can anyone tell me. Did Paul Simon write it? I think he did

  • @micytay a male voice says "you dont begin ti comprehend" i believe that is Paul Simons voice ... as her discography reads that this song was recorded in 1967 with Paul Simon

  • @micytay reading her discography this record is down as recorded in 1967 (with Paul Simon) im assuming he speaks the bit YOU DONT BEGIN TO COMPREHEND near the beginning...

  • Hair stand on end stuff.............

  • brilliant record - what a dancer this was - Thanks Stompie KTF

  • i loves it all, including frank wilson ;op

  • It may not be "proper soul" but when this was played at the Casino, the dealers' boxes nearly bounced off the tables.

    Feel the energy

  • Hola Stompie,

    ¡ es discutible !

mientras puedas bailar por la noche.....

    Seguir Teniendo Fe (KTF)

    N-Soul (españa) , paz y saludos hermano !!

  • gracias,mi amigo ;o)

  • Here, here. You just HAD to be there. If you don't like this, sorry but you just don't get it.

  • Its a shame that peeps just don't get it,but they normally say the same about Don Ray and Billy Joe Royal.

  • Like the man said....It's what's in the grooves counts. KTF Drew.

  • @stompietheowl Yeah, if this was simply sung by a black woman, then they'd never mention it. I mean why do they question Don Ray, Nancy Ames but not Barbara McNair's adult-contemporary pop "You're Gonna Love My Baby." I loves it all...And Frank Wilson is AWESOME. Love that song! ENERGY, ENERGY!

  • Pure Casino....hair stands on end etc......you had to be there!!!

  • You said it mate ;o)

  • Mediocre cover version. Get real, does this compare to Otis Redding, Major Lance, Darrell Banks et al ? Thought not.

  • Yes it does,IF,like me your a spinner and a dancer.

  • when this sound came on at wigan it was hit the floor big time, fantastic dance record and awesome sound.call it pop, call it soul.but this was northern soul at its very best.

  • Some people would descibe this as a pop tune...for me it was always white soul with atmosphere drama advice. Nice song thanks

  • I've always seen it as a top class "blue eyed" soul tune...thanks for the comment tv205

  • tune!

  • i love it

  • quality tune.. ktf

  • Soz but it always reminds me of a Bad downer at a Kettering Easter Dayer after 2 niters at the Casino and Sammanthas! Just aload of peeps dancing in circles ~ this and The Poppies ~ and it just stuck in my head ;D
