i loved the overnight shift when i was at the border surveillance from 6 pm to 6 am. i saw the sunset and the sunrise. but the most wondterful joy was to watch the milky way to drift past. i almost felt the rotation of the earth, it was like to sit on an asteroid :)
@HOTIE8383 sometimes i lie down on the ground in forest and look up to the tops of the trees which are moving slightly by the wind. then i imagine that the earth is revolving with about 900 miles an hour, and it´s also orbiting the sun with about 66 miles an hour, the outer spiral arm from the milkyway our sun-system is in also moves about 40 000 miles an hour and the galaxy it selfe moves also quite fast. in this moment i forget all my all day problems, smile and i´m square with all the world:)
