The America I know and love still believes in 454, 396, 409, 327, 302, 351, 350, 289, 427, 428, 429, 281 engines. It is not really the car that gets bad gas mileage. Its the person, of course your civic gets great gas mileage. You can use vortec's with a carb- only difference is the bolt pattern on the intake. Vortecs are just the heads. flow awesome for stock castings, but you cant use too much cam with the stock valvesprings. A chevy vortec motor is the same shortblock-minus the rear main seal(1piece vs 2-piece) as a 1960's chevy motor, minus roller cam, etc.......

Chevy made a 302 and it was more radical than the ford 302. The chevy 302 is a 327 block with a 283 crank. The z28 302 had a laughable factory rating of 290hp. Big heads,solid lift cam two cross ram holleys 11.5 comp ratio. Do the math not 290.

A 307 is a 283 block with a 327 crank. More valuable for parts than whole. I love 307's but gm kept the 350 to share it's crank with the 305. 305 has a 3.75 bore and 3.48 stroke same as 350 crankshaft.

General Motors killed the Chevelle's from 1970-current (currently Malibu).

Windows werent tinted from me. What you are seeing is factory tint still there on the windows. Thats why its so light. The glare partly helped in that back window appearing dark. Look at it when it is parked. You can clearly see through it and the back window
