lomu, williams, gear, everyone seems to forget about the world class robinson, who when was playing in a good or bad england side always scored trys, and ashton needs more time to cement his place in world rugby, but i think he's getting there!!
He's a world class winger but he still isn't anywhere near as good as guys like lomu, williams and gear. On the other hand he is a standout winger and he'll hopefully just get better from here on out :P
@MrCharlieBailey To be fair to williams we can't tell that yet because williams has been creating world class scores for both great and bad (welsh) sides whereas ashton so far has always been with a great team, I think the way you can tell outstanding players from great players is if they are still performing wonderfully in a bad team which...like I said williams has done :P

Im sorry, but you should not be making a tribute video when Chris Ashton hasn't proved himself fully yet, and at the MOMENT he is certainly not one of the best wingers in the world, look at the likes of Habana, Shane Williams, Rupeni. They are better than ashton by a mile. But ashton is young he will obviously get better, but he has to prove he can do more than just running support lines.

@mastermiddleton I'm a big rugby fan (and Englishman) but I completely agree with you in terms of people saying he's top winger in the world, he's definitely flourishing into a good player but there are many more, highly experienced, and seriously good wingers out there. I think the hype around Ashton is perhaps hopeful English thinking of what he could be in the future. Gotta say Shane Williams is one of my favourites, it's just a shame he's getting older and now going to retire very soon.
