This was the true ending of Scrubs. The only reason Lawrence went on to do the Med School season was he didn't want all those who worked on the show to lose their jobs in the current economy, and ABC was open to the idea.

This definitely was a powerful episode and should have been the end of Scrubs. But no, they want more money so then season 9 came out and bombed. It barely had anyone in it and even those who returned weren't in it very much.

This is the true ending to Scrubs, and it always will be for me.

This is how I choose to think the characters lives continued on. It's been said numerous times in the comments, but this is THE ending for Scrubs and as far as I'm concerned one of the best endings ever for a series. The only thing missing was wedding rings on J.D and Elliot, but still such a beautiful ending. Well done Scrubs cast & crew

I actually liked season 9, even after the old regulars started disappearing. They should have tried to pitch it as a spin-off series rather than a continuation, though. Especially after a perfect ending like this.
