@evolip : Yes, EGT sensor goes into control unit, which will display data on this dash. But it's sold already before you ask :-)

Actually it didn't, 800 degrees is not too much, it's BTW measured directly at the manifold on the first cylinder.

Seen 930 degrees on this car without any burning marks on the rear.
