Love the group, love the album, love the song, do not love the boring artsy- fartsy black and white video. also, do not love the way they castrated the song here. It's a different vocal track, too. "Lost Souls" is definitely one of the best albums of this young century so far. Nothing Doves has done since compares.

Doves are my favorite band of the past decade but I still think this is the most overrated song people praise. I actually dislike it and that is only one of less than a handful of their songs. Hmmm...I agree that Manchester has a rich history for producing bands, but I think that you will find that Tim Booth - the songwriter and front man from 'James' - is a Yorkshireman...born and bred in Harrogate, and a proud Leeds United fan...:)
