  • I just got a Glock 17 Gen4 about a week ago and i absolutely love it. i've heard a lot of gun elitists talk shit about glocks. but you would be flat out lying to say they jam or misfire all the time. When i bought it, the guy at the store compared it to honda or toyota, futher stating, that its definetly more reliable, but far from a car enthusiast's dream car.

  • I never heard to many good things about glock. I got a g30 a few months ago and i love it. 500 plus rounds right out the box not one issue. I use it as my edc . Why such hate for glocks. I own a couple sigs also and love them but have had issues with one. Always a chance of issues just like anything else. Just cause you pay more fir a gun dont make it better.

  • They forgot the step where it misfires and explodes in your hand.

  • @TheArkTheArkTheArk a glock handles a misfire like any other firearm, your comment only goes to show your lack of understanding on how firearms work

  • @TheArkTheArkTheArk ummm, isn't a misfire where the bullet completely fails to fire at all? i mean like as in MIS fire... but what would i know ive only been shooting all my life.

  • Yeah...If someone kill you with glock, you can understand how it works...

  • What kind of automatic gun is this, when you have to remove and refill the magazine with just one more bullet every single shot?!

  • a clock sucks if you shoot a couple of times it will cost you money..and you will never need it..It feels good to have a gun but you will never use it for real..the only thing what can happen you take it to school and shoot some bastards..or your kid will play with it..

  • @vuurwerkkid thats why a lot of people play airsoft, the guns are almost the same (as in weight, size, attachments etc.) and you can shoot people with it ;D

  • @vuurwerkkid - Except for that one time that I really, really needed it.

  • @vuurwerkkid Judging by your grammar, I would remiss did I not ask the question, What do you know about schools ?. As it appears that you have never attended one !.

  • i just got a glock .357 SIG today and its the first glock i have owned (3rd handgun) and it is simply the BEST shooting and feeling handgun i have ever shot!!! great gun, huge 15 round capacity easy to use and tear down. shot 100 rounds through it today and not 1 jam misfire or problem. i know 100 rounds is not much but i can tell already this one is going in my nightstand :) only down side is the ammo compared to my 9mm is almost double!! but up side is its double the gun.

  • The moving barrel made me think that if you move the gun around too fast or if you do a quickdraw, the barrel might cause the accuracy to drop. Is that so? Is there a disadvantage in comparison with fixed barrels? I noticed H&K pistols have that moving barrel too, what is the purpose of that? Please inform, thx.

  • @1inchheadbutt Bullets can easier recieved by the barrel, thats why the barrel drops.

The barrel is tight as a nuns ass, the accuracy isnt affected anyhow.

  • @1inchheadbutt it is part of the recoil operated locking mechanism. the barrel drops to disengage from the slide, allowing a fresh cartridge to be loaded into the breech.

  • I don't get it how does the slide go back and what pushes the bullet out?

  • @MrRabidCat gun powder?? smh

  • @MrRabidCat the force of the explosion in the gun cause it to slide to slap back and throw the round out

  • @METALLICA1024 K thanks :D

  • i would reload if i have only 1 bullet still in the chamber (can still fire when reloading) and if you dont fire you get 1 more bullet next clip

  • oh... thats why the glock barrel moves up so much in slowmo vids... i thought they were just wobbly XD

  • It's like Call of Duty... they fire a few shots, reload, wait until someone else appears, fire a few shots, reload...

  • Isn't the lock supposed to begin rolling back immediately after the bullet begins its movement forward?

  • @Stripdancer100 Technically, yes, but we're talking about accelerating a 124-165gr mass against [said weight of barrel/slide+recoil spring, significantly more], which means the bullet will be accelerating sooner and faster than the mechanics of the gun itself.

  • whats the best ammo to buy for a glock 22 gen 4 (.40cal)???

  • @AEconspiracy obviousley u can see it can hold more but u just want to have thumbs up like evry1 want's to kid...

  • simple mechanism in this gun u jus have to modify on the upper receiver to make it automatic glock 17..sry i aint gonna tell.. this is why the animation is cut at the end.. hehe dont want ATF breaking in into my house.. lol

  • uh whys the barrel move up @ 0:47 ?

  • @SurfersGlory It moves up because when the slide comes back it pushes it to make the barrel move that way, some pistols have a slide that does that some don't the glock is one that does do that

  • @SurfersGlory its just part of the glocks inovative engineering

  • @SurfersGlory because of the angle of the slide. With the breach open the barrel is not parallel with the recoil spring.

  • how it works: BOOM! headshot

  • @IpodFailx700 nope

  • Thanks for the excellent video. Thank goodness I found a similar one without this annoying soundtrack.

  • I remember being told that Glocks have a block that sits in front of the firing pin, which only moves when the trigger is pulled, which is what makes them safe to carry with a round in the chamber. Is that what I'm seeing just being the round, that little silver mushroom looking thing?

  • i have glock 23 :D

  • @AEconspiracy Nothing wrong with it. Just not filled up ;-) shows what sort of people watch these video and thumb them up mostly :(

  • i remember when i fired a glock

  • It does that at 1200 rpm????? HOLY CRAP

  • a glockwork orange!

    XD

  • @colebmeek Awesome comment, but you might be giving certain people the wrong kinds of ideas for "fun" lol.

  • Why is it only two bullets in the magazine and why did you reload when it still was a bullet in the magazine

  • @comebackiller looks like the video is looped.

  • hey what software is this??

  • Question:

    1) How come automatic rifles (AK/M4/etc.) can't use a similar technique to push the slider back? (they have a separate gas pipe above the shaft to do it)

    2) What is actually causing the empty shell to fly out of the gun? Is there a spring? A bump in the surface? Gas? Or just the vibration & opening?

    Thx.

  • @51equinox A similar system has been used for example in the previous generation of HK rifles G3/HK53/MP5 etc which used a form of delayed blowback to cycle the action. While it worked well enough it is more complex to maintain and most importantly, blowback weapons run very dirty and hot because the gases are kept in the action. Gas piston systems are most popular on assault rifles because they keep the filth and heat away from the moving parts. Question 2 is the extractor pulls the case.

  • @51equinox

Not enough space to explain this properly on Youtube. 1) Rifles wont really use this and retain accuracy due to their size, part of the reason why rifles like the M4 operate in the way they do is to improve accuracy (locking & rotating bolts - not using parabellum rounds (straight edged ) as the Glock shown does.. 2) there is an arm or bump if you like that actuates when the slide (top part of the pistol) moves rearward and reaches a certain point.

  • thx dude now i download the video and make a paper version and only the slide works the same

  • BAN GUNS

  • @teovenbar BAN YOU

  • Had the mute the music, but nice vid.

  • Good but move barell and slide schould to start in moment move bullet

  • I still dont understand why it makes noise when the triger gets pulled.

  • @vladak47 that's the pin resetting i own a G-34

  • i thought this goes auto

  • Thank Browning for that angle, not our friends in Austria. Nice animation!

  • I feel like an idiot, but how does that little tap make the bullet fly out at bullet speed?

  • @laithinator3000 Because of the spring beneath it, i guess

  • phun?

  • I thought glock pistols have single action only ?

  • @megalenellmith a bar down the far side behind the stuff you see in the diagram

  • How a Glock works: it doesn't, the bullets do all the work xD

  • i still dont get how the shell jumps out so quikly.... oh well i'm not planing on desining guns :P

  • @Nutzelpivot it hits a ramp (best way to describe it) called a shell extractor, some call it an extractor claw. It's like rolling a bouncy ball at a slanted curb, it's gonna go straight up in the air every time.

  • In the trigger and your finger! Where is it in a revolver?

  • where is the safety on this?

  • @ljguy300 There's no external safety.

  • @msiley thank you sir/ma'am

  • OMG WHERE CAN I GET AN ORANGE GLOCK!!!!!

  • Very cool, this animation was designed by Juho Nieminen for my Company over ten years ago. We distribute the original free of charge to Law Enforcement personnel world wide.

  • fapping occurs when redtube in playing

  • the music is not needed.

  • What is it ?2 bullets in magazine?Economic crysis xD

  • @GLiGhTyO for the prices now a days i believe yes

  • What locks the slide back after the last round is fired?

  • @cooldog60 The magazine follower lifts the [inside] tab of the slide lock up.

  • now i gotta know... what makes the sear lift up at 0:15?

  • @TheSonorama21 The spring

  • @SOPModz

it does that to unlock the slide and the bolt, so that they can continue rearward, eject the cartridge case, and load a new round into the barrel. it also makes it easier for the cartridge to slide up out of the magazine and into the barrel when it's being loaded.

  • Ok so now we saw how a glock works let's make a homemade one!!

  • @grarosting

that's the plan, amigo! now how on earth would i get handgun ammunition in canada?

  • glocks are overrated? thats why almost all internal security forces in the woorld use it... fucking idiot

  • @DrRaper Because of three things...safety is on the trigger ( no second thought about taking it off ),theyre as cheap as shit,And they are lightweight....but sorry, known to many of them to die early deaths through various breakages and failures....I would rather stick with my old P85 that eats ammo that Glock chokes on.

  • Ya ...... Not exactly accurate , just a general concept !

  • you guys are all just fuking gay this how many handguns work not only glocks

  • the slide goes back before the bullet exits the barrel

  • @bscutajar Actually it's quite the opposite. Look up slow motion videos of any semi-automatic pistol.

  • @uilleann86 no it doesnt. its the basic law of momentum. the slide starts going back as the bullet starts moving forward. which means that by the time the bullet leaves the barrel, the slide was already moving.

  • @bscutajar Maybe you're right. the slowest video i could find of any semi-auto pistol was on here of a glock being filmed at something like 23,000 FPS. Of course the camera doesnt have the muzzle shown, but it appears the slide starts travelling rearwards just before the bullet leaves the muzzle.

  • @uilleann86 this is how the animation should have ben (im aware its for a different gun, but notice the simultaneous movements of the bullet and slide in opposite direction) /watch?v=E6SmlOEzNBs

  • @bscutajar im going to give you some time and space to think about it and clear any misunderstandings that you had with my initial post. but if you still dont agree with me, you're arguing with physics. and physics is basically logic, arguin against logic makes you illogical. this animaton is WRONG.

  • Where's the exploding glock part.

  • why do people think Glocks are over rated. I think they're alright.

  • wat makes the spent shell eject

  • this is quite simply the cooolest vid on YouTube!

  • They left out the exploding part.

  • what drives the slide back?

  • @Avatar230594 The slide is driven back by the opposite force from the explosion of the bullet.

  • @Avatar230594 LOL LOL LOL

  • Comment removed

  • @gfpd2722 yes it is,how else would it operated

  • This guy like reloading

  • Is there an animation of a Glock model 18 on fully automatic, so I can see how the Glocks fully automatic fire mechanism works.

  • @TheMohawkNinja im not expert but the glock 18 should work similar to this but without the little part that catches the fireing pin

  • @skymoney397 the glock 18 is selective fire if I remember correctly, so it functions the same way.

  • baring in mind its all happening in a split second

  • what about a smith and wessen

  • since when were glocks double action?

  • @greene2438 Always?

  • Comment removed

  • @greene2438 oh nvm look at the related video: inner workings of a glock. glocks have always been semi automatic.

  • glocks suck they jam all the time, i wouldnt trust my life with one.

  • The striker block (safety) was not moving in this video.

  • @jkiang I noticed that too!

  • Nice work, but you have the slide recoiling once the bullet leaves the barrel. That's not right...blow-back starts immediately after the primer is struck and the bullet leaves the casing.

  • @happy543210 The Glock pistol is not blow back operated.

  • @happy543210 yeah thats what i was thinking

  • This video is gay. Everyone knows Glocks explode.

    Glocknade. Perfection.

  • why do the cartiges edject?

  • thats why the barrel does that strange angle LOL

    never knew it.

i thought they were all broken LOL (JOKE) #FTW

  • @TheGi101 retard.

  • @RLNPlehsHalo What is your problem fuckin troll idiot.... i SAID JOKE you dumbass.. oh wait you can't read...

    MORON

  • Comment removed

  • very interesting!!!!

  • hey im a gun nut and i thought i was gona throw away my glock... i thought something was wrong with the barrel. thank you for the video. now i know im not crazy.

  • Nice anamation buy missing a huge section of operation, the trigger group....

That was/is a unique Glock innovation at the time of it's design. Safe Action.

  • Wow, I didnt know that the whole barrel alignment changed.

  • @Pilot853 Whenever you see a slide on a handgun, you can bet that about 80% of handguns work that same way. The 1911 operates the same way, aligning the rounds to be fed from the magazine to the barrel by having the barrel 'dip' downwards aligning with the top round perfectly for loading.

  • super das wichtigste erkennt man garnet: nämlich warum der schlitten nach hinten geht!

  • finally a vid of a working gun that goes slow enough that you can see each piece working.

  • this is awesome!

  • the one thing I don't like is in the animation that it does not show the connector bar pushing the firing pin block safety out of the way..that is the biggest safety on the pistol IMHO..there is not a spring stong enough combined in that pistol to drive the firing pin through that piece of metal until the trigger is fully depressed..

  • nvm, im guessing its blowback from the bullet...

  • @murdockpt The "top" is called a "Slide" and honestly I have no idea how it works on this weapon, but it's probably short recoil-operated, considering that the majority of semi-automatic pistols are. It's a mechanical system unlike gas operation(which is what I think you mean by "blow back from the bullet") and more likenned to the operation of the m1911 Colt .45. There are great videos on youtube that can teach you about that weapon.

  • how does the top go back...? (doesnt know names)

  • ok so can somone explain how the blo back automtically cocks the gun?

  • @Olliedfox just on usually any semi-auto gun, whether it be a shotgun, rifle, or hand gun, the powder ignited creates gasses which will cycle the gun

  • falta el giro!! las estrías del cañón son imaginarias??

  • Always wondered why the barrel looked crooked when the slide was retracted, now I know :)

  • this is helpfol can u show how airsoft glock works? im making it and looking everyvere how it works

    sry for my english

  • What causes the spent casing to be ejected? =S

  • @G0ldbl4e the spring in the magizine pushing the next round in

  • Question from a person who knows nothing about guns: would it be possible to load the gun by putting the bullets through the hole where casings come out of? (0:50)

  • @paclac1337 yes

  • @paclac1337 yeah,

i some rare occasions people do, just for different reasons,

    fun stuff,

or they're about to die and their gun isn't functioning properly

  • its quite ingenious actually ..reminds me of a motor

  • not correct

  • How a Glock works: Really well

  • @Yuttmonster

    until it explodes

  • where did you make that video?need tutorial for my project.,.send me links and PM me.,.thanks.,.

  • Man, how I love my Glock(s)! Pure engineering genius. They don't say Glock perfection for nothin'! Great video!

  • @beekmann well like i say nothing is perfect but they are pretty close there where a few KBs with them but from what i hear most of them where "experimental" ammo

  • this guy likes to reload :)

  • what program did you use for this?

  • @kiotopler

    same question!

  • how does a ful auto pistol work?

  • @4wheelerboy1 it works the same kind of...but a shit load faster

  • woah the barrel just free floats like that? thats kinda spooky....

i still love the glock though

  • @PinoyPogiman The "free floating barrel" design was actually developed by John Browning in the early 1900s and is used by most modern pistols, including the High Power, SIG P226, HK USP, CZ75, Springfield XD, and S&W M&P.

  • hahahahahahahaha Glocks r ass period, this shits silly, a plastic recoil rod tho??? really try tha Smith and Wesson M&P, tactical slide plus for 300 u can but a laser grip which opens up tha tectical slide for whatever else, its juss funny, cus my M&P 9c would kill this Glock or any other glock, PERIOD

  • @TrO419to702 The plastic guide rods have proven to hold up just fine to hard use. You can even buy steel rods for Glocks for $25 if you think its a problem. Also, the by "tactical slide" I assume you mean the accessory rail? Glocks have one of those too. You can also add a laser grip to a Glock. I don't see what your point is. Glocks had all those features before S&W even dreamed up the M&P. M&Ps are great guns, but I wouldn't say they "kill" Glocks. Plus, Glocks have been around a lot longer...

  • @TrO419to702 my pen woud kill your stupid guns lol

  • @TrO419to702 I dont know. I know alot of people personally and just from reading reveiws and watching videos, most with R. lee Ermey, saying that glock is a very good pistol. I dont own one but every time ive shot with one i havent had a problem. M&P's are good too. never shot one but never heard bad about it.

  • @TrO419to702 Yea, ok. Who do you think S&W got their idea for a polymer pistol from? Glock maybe? The M&P is a relatively new handgun compared to the Glock. To say that it would "kill" any Glock is asinine. The plastic recoil rod is proven and works fine. It saves weight. The spring is doing all the work. I'm sure you knew that already. You seem very...ummm...educated....
