i have a lot of various lengthed layers in my hair... the layer at my crown is probably only about 5 inches long and they get longer as you go down, how would you recommend going about curling those? in my experience they just get all wispy and kink more so than curl. any tips?

Do you have a tutorial where you list hair products you use? On your Texas style hair tutorial, you mention that your hair is on day 3 after washing. I desperately wish I could do that, but my hair is rediculously oily. I have used everything from walmart to Aveda, and get no relief. i barely make it through the day! I do not put anything on my roots, mild leave in conditioner on my ends (biosilk) and occasionally Kenra firm hold gel if I am really styling it and feel I need it. (cont)

@tintzki Actually for me, and especially with doing a hair tutorial 9 minutes is short! If I edited a hair tutorial down to a matter of a minutes you wouldn't learn anything. This was also made over 9 months ago so I've incooperated fast forwarding, editing, etc since then.

Should the hair be washed and blow dryed before the curling ironing procedure or shoud it be dried naurally and then curled ? I would'nt like to have it so puffy at the upper part just because my hair is naturally waved but at normal level. I would like it waved as a Farahfaucet look for my up coming wedding.

i love your big sultry waves but my hair is SUPER curly and if i spray my hair before or after i curl it it starts to curl into my tight little ringlet of curls.plus if i don't spray it starts to frizz or curl at the roots. @goldeneva05 You can, the curl will hold better but sometimes it ends up being too tight. You might just have to play with it! Definitely try it and if the curls are too tight then just brush them out the same way!

Thank you! We do a heavy hilite. I use a hilift bleach and a dark beige blonde color. We do very thin small weaves for a "natural" look.

It is very layered. My shortest layers start around my nose. I am very layered around my face. Those layers start around my mouth area. I have a full side swept bang. I use a razor to cut them. My shortest peices of bang start around the bottom of my eye!

You can use a 1", it will just be a little tighter than mine. I wouldn't keep your hair in the iron as long and I would brush it out a bit more with a smaller iron!
