What kind of volume pot ? How far "on" do you have to turn the knob ? Just a little ? Or full blast ? How do you have the amp set up ? I have a Bassman too. I have a super hot CM element with a 5 meg volume pot. And I like to put each volume knob on my amp both up to 8 each. That gets the tubes as hot as they need to be. But I can barely turn my mic volume knob up hardly at all. But that's okay because it sounds as great as this video. But if I set it up in reverse, then I can crank my mic pot.
Thanks, man. It's a Lee Oskar. Probably an A harp. The tone you hear has very little to do with the actual harmonica. Tone is probably 20% mic, 20% amp, 1% harmonica, and 59% player. I'm not trying to say I'm good, I'm just telling you the truth about how much the harmonica has to do with tone.

Are you kiddin me or what ?than i should say you are fucking wrong because there are alot of models and they all sound different i used many harps and experts say that too and also companies!! it is so ridiculous to hear that from you man i am really disapointed at least you should say %10 or something like that and amps and mics are important believe me
Well acousticly it surely is! But he plays with old michrophones on an old amp with vintage effects like delays and stuff so it really does not matter that much which harp you're using. You can probably not even hear the original sound of the harp because the amp is pre- equalized as the owner likes it to be.
@GoldenBug That is a pretty interesting opinion! I read a lot of debate about the differences between plastic and the wooden bodied harps, but I don't find a huge amount of difference, really. I enjoy my $10 Silver Stars as much as my $50 Hohner blues-mans honestly.......and I can play them for longer. I'd like to buy Lee Oskars, but they are so expensive down here in Australia.
So do you sell these mics ? or just collect them ?
