Why not a decent xenon flash?

Manufacturer saves technology to the next generation product.

Maybe Ipone 5 will have a 10mpix cam why 720p video an xenon flash.

So I'll buy a cheaper product and wait for the a better generation of products.

Honestly 5MP on a phone is plenty, increasing the MP on the camera won't provide better results necessarily.

Also, Xenon flash uses a lot more power than a single LED. While it might be more picture friendly, it wouldn't be practical. This camera is NOT meant to reproduce fancy images like stand alone models, it's meant to capture on the spot moments and the occasional snap here and there. It's a great camera with a flash that works well enough. That's what matters.

I think Apple should make a stand-alone camera. Pretty much the same size as the iPhone, but with more camera geared features, plus wifi/3G and the ability to download photography apps. =)

good review. you missed the quality of pics in an indoor setting using the led flash.

i'm having the same problem that is widely reported. the pics take on an orange/yellow hue with flash. hopefully, there's some kind of software fix for this along with the proximity sensor problem.

Why is it that when you started the video, it had a horizontal feel to it, then when you switched to the front camera, it was in 720P, full screen (Which is MUCH better).. Is it because ONLY the rear camera (full screen) can record like that? Im confused on that part..

A well in depth review on the iPhone 4's camera Michael, its really good on the close up macro shots, and especially in the dark as well, that Flash is very powerful, cant wait to get my hands on one now :) can we have some videos on the iMovie app?
