@Tenktory Firstly BMWs are electronically limited to 250kph, so that has to be editted out of the ECU. Secondly manufacturers map their ECUs to account for differences in petrol quality in different countries. In Germany petrol is very high quality, so the ECU can be remapped specifically to run on high quality petrol.

This is very clearly a 545i .. V8 Sound .. And I believe indeed that he could reach 290 when he is Chiptuned and the Limiter would be deactivated.I know how much Power he has left when he reaches 255 Limiter..

Is a stock 545i able to rech 270? does the digital display than show 270 ? because the spedo reaches to 260..

@kurdeundgesetzlos1 - I would say yes. Mine is chiptuned and reached 288@5200rpm. After that there's a transmission restriction.

Original cluster is limited to 260km/h. My 545i is chiptuned and can reach 290km/h. M5 cluster is more functional this way and is nicer looking as well...

It's Nice to see that the BMW Engine is running that Great, even during the Winter.

I'm at 9-10,5 mpg, but i's mixed City/Interstate and i'm currently running the Aircondition during the hole Drive since i hate the coldness in the Morning or when i'm Driving back Home :)

But Instruments are M5. The 545 Spedo ends at 260, the Rev-counter redlines at 6500. This here hast the 330kmh Spedo and the 9000rpm max from the M5.

If you took a few seconds to READ the title and description you would noice "limiter removed, M5 cluster" which means I installed a M5 instrument cluster in my 545i.

Please how do u remove the limiter and also i wanna get the M5 cluster on my 550i but how will my cars current mileage be reflected on the new cluster......

1. remove limiter by chiptuning

2. Buy new cluster and program it at the dealer. Mileage will be correct as it is stored at other places on the car and will be carried over to new cluster when programming is complete.
