the verses on recovery are really good, however the hooks and chorus' are all either him singing, a woman singing, some other guy singing, and theres one song where he raps part of the chorus i think. but the verses dont disappoint, just the hooks imo.

But I did like a few of the choruses like on "Love The Way You Lie" But now I know that Em still has it in him to make a well balanced CD that is good lyrically and varied in subject. Encore wasn't that good lyically and Relapse didn't really have varied subject matter so this is imo his best album since The Eminem Show.

the verses on recovery are really good, however the hooks and chorus' are all either him singing, a woman singing, some other guy singing, and theres one song where he raps part of the chorus i think. but the verses dont disappoint, just the hooks imo.

@letters129: That's almost exactly how I feel, I think if not for the choruses this album could have been nearly perfect, now its just really good. But I did like a few of the choruses like on "Love The Way You Lie" But now I know that Em still has it in him to make a well balanced CD that is good lyrically and varied in subject. Encore wasn't that good lyically and Relapse didn't really have varied subject matter so this is imo his best album since The Eminem Show.

agreed, but my problem with encore was that it was just weak, like the lyrical content. ex "Now why did they make Yoo-Hoo? Hippity ga-ga boo-boo
Psych, I'm kidding" the lyrical content isnt that meaningfull, this album is deff better than relapse though, but imo i think relapse was better than most people said. like aside from the voice his lyrics where much better than encore. and insane/underground where tight as fuck

@letters129: Yeah I always felt that on Encore he tried to hard to be Slim Shady again but he couldn't do it, the heartfelt songs were pretty good though but it is by far his worst album. It's also his least technical rap album, he used almost no multi-syllabic rhymes.
And relapse was a pretty good album, it was his most technical album since MMLP but it was also his least personal album ever IMO and I was left wanting more but Stay Wide Awake, Hello, My Darling & the songs u said are awesome

yeah, i know what you mean, i mean the majority of the album was about his drug problem, so i thought it was kind of personal, but i think what you where missing was the fact that he said like nothing true about his childhood in that album. as we saw in his previous albums.
personaly, i wish he'd beef some more, those are his best songs imo
ex:go to sleep, the sauce, marshall mathers, nail in the coffin.

I guess it was about his drug problem but that was for the most part only in the concept, there were very few songs that talked about his drug problem seriously aside from Hello and Deja Vu (did Beautiful talk about it?) he mentioned drugs a lot on the album but the album wasn't really about his addiction unless the addiction turned him back into Slim Shady? Even if that's the case it was a very loose concept.
And yeah he is great when he's beefing I wanted him to diss Cannibus..

drugs where the theme of the album, although not every song talked about in detail, there was an undertone about it. but beautiful was just basically telling people to keep their head up, and was totally different from the rest of the album, and anything in his past. but personally i prefer his benzino disses because can i bitch seemed half assed for em. still good, just not as good as he normally is.

@letters129: I was really happy when I heard about that because I was already a fan of Slaughterhouse and when I heard some of their songs I thought "Dang Eminem would sound great with them" hopefully he'll produce some of their next album and hop on some tracks cuz all the members of Slaughterhouse are pretty close to Eminem skill wise.
