  • It's not hard to be funny - it's hard for other people to understand what we find funny

  • Ooh this guy is socially acceptable so let's all like him

  • Mitch Hedberg seemed like he was autistic. He was one of the funniest people ever to me.

  • Bummer, I really wanted my son to hear your comments, but then you started cussing. Oh, well... I do like your haircut!

  • The more I learn more about aspergers the more I think I've got it. And it's hard as fuck to make people laugh unless it's on Skype or something. :(

  • you are so cute and funny:D I like you XD

  • The funny thing is I'm an aspie and believe it or not I actually can be funny sometimes my jokes can be off but a fair percentage of the time I'm really funny especially with improv skits

  • if you are so smart and u understand urself so fuckin well.. then laugh dick head dont take it litterally ur not stupid fuck u piss me off.

  • I always feel slightly depressed when I deal with aspies.

  • my boyfriend has very mild aspergers syndrom it was only noticed in his 20s he is good with money and he can spell better than me so he helps me when i need it

  • i have A.S. and i can be fucking hilarious without even trying sometimes but also sometimes i try to make a joke and people didn't even realize it was supposed to be funny, they take it literally and just think i'm dumb. haha.

  • I used to find it impossible to tell a joke, because I couldn't get the timing right at all. So I found a way around it by choosing a good joke-teller in the group, telling them the joke, then asking them to tell it on my behalf to everyone else. Works great when in a group, so I tell the joke and get everyone to laugh too!

  • I thought the only reason Autistics took things literally was due to Psychoneurosis or Psychosis, because Autistics are intelligent enough to figure things out intelligently. Personally, I don't have AS, but I do have some traits and I always feel like I'm thinking, thinking, thinking and THINKING and it never stops...

  • @krstcmjns i know how you feel with the thinking... is it like me when i think about anything no matter what lines or morals it crosses just as long as your brain is thinking about something for the sake of thinking...

  • @xXenthesisXx Exactly. My family doesn't know what I going through, they have no sympathy for me. They jokingly call me the family Hypochondriac... I don't think it's that funny actually.

  • very few people who try to be funny are, you're either a joker or not, I'm not sure it has anything to do with AS beyond the sarcasm and a few little things like that that might effect 'being funny'. if your not, don't try to be.

  • omg, real bad presentation, too up close for a start, too much hum hum, voice too loud, no eye contact, your hair's in your eye, why don't you look at the camera lens? Why don't you rehearse your act? I guess you can't handle it eh? Don't swear, that's not funny, it's just offensive.

  • lol you seem so cool! I just realised I probably have Asperger's but never really met anyone with it. and I can relate to what you're saying

  • @Sitheis2009 That's not what he meant. He means that HE has trouble with it. Not every one with autism/aspergers.

  • I can so relate to your video

  • I have been watching videos on aspergers and i can relate to you

  • I have asperger's and I've been told that I'm very funny. I think because, not despite, of my being on the outside looking in at a lot of "normal" behavior gives me a perspective to be funny about it.

  • Im fucking terrible at telling jokes, i know how you feel man, I try to do it less, sometimes i want to do it but sometimes it doesn't feel right to me, and its just really embarassing when no one listened to what i said in the group i hang out with

  • I learned two ways to talk to people.

    1: tell facts.

    2: Tell yokes.

Thats pretty much all I've got.

  • how many people here have aspergers i do

  • i have asbergers and i'm pretty funny, i make girls laugh more than dudes some reason, i have been told i'm funny alot, dnt get me wrong your vid is very true aspies just have a different sence of humour than others, but pesonaly i think in some ways aspies can be funny in a unique way because we are more origional thinkers aswell

  • I don't think any accurate generalizations can be made about aspies with regards to humour. So I don't think it's accurate to say "we" don't or can't be funny. Many of us can.

  • i make everyone laugh usually try to come up with the most riduculous stuf i can and i have aspergers which sucks cus i wishh i didnt have it so i could be normal and people wouldnt think im retarded and stupid like they do

  • I think that ASD folk can have their own "sense" of humor. I have a son that is diagnosed ASD, and he laughs at some of the weirdest things, but, hey, at least he's laughing (though, sometimes he laughs more from nervousness it's definitely a different sort of laugh). I myself am not diagnosed, and still sometimes am slow on the "humor" uptake. Doesn't mean I can't find things funny on my own, though. Just my two cents. :)

  • I was diagnosed with asperger's syndrome when I was about 12. And I find that many people think I'm very funny.

  • Damn dude, creepy intro.

*bored expression* HEY! It's time to talk about, um, autism & Asperger's again.

  • @countzarrof where are you from? you have an interesting accent...

  • hes not saying u carnt be funny hes saying its sometimes hard to theres diffrent kinds of aspergers and stuff

  • young comedians award and i have asbergers and adhd

  • it depends, i have aspergers, i can be funny, so realy it depends,

  • I think Aspies can be funny, the humour is just different.

  • Asperger people are hilarious! They just have trouble showing the emotions with nonverbal language.

  • i cant believe you are asperger person, you just normal person to me maybe i'm an asperger who knows!!

  • aspies are only good for wetting the bed. funny? no. just uriney.

  • @MrA5gregjockca I have aspergers and I don't wet the bed. Satanist prick.

  • @QN811 yeah, you don't wet it. you DRENCH it with your stank bodily fluids. your mom wishes she had a fucking abortion. fuck.

  • @a11gregjockca If you had a motherfucking brain, you'd know aspergers has nothing to do with the urinary system. I hope Satan fucks you till you die again.

  • @QN811 don't be so sure, drippy.

  • my son has high function autism his main problem is when he trys to be funny sometimes he realy freaks people out and gets himself in trouble i know hes joking but other people think hes being serious when they get angry he gets wery upset and confused as to what he did wrong i hope he doesnt stop trying to be funny because of other people those that know him love his jokes

  • hippy communist freak. get a job, bum. lol!!!

  • You're haircut is nice and like I said on another response, keep talking. You're speaking for yourself and I believe this helps others who cannot speak for themselves - those on the other end of the spectrum like my son, Caleb. Have a good day.

  • One of my best traits is my sense of humour which I built up to be friends with people

  • You are funny! (In a good way.)

I love being sarcastic but - go figure i dont take it well. I take it too literally at first then oh! Haha.

Love family guy and fav. movie is anchorman. Dont know what kind of humor that is... Anyone?

  • I also have Aspergers Syndrome as well.

Especially when I was younger, I thought in a very literal sense and had very rigid thought processes. I have become much more flexible and I take things much less literally. However, I seem to have worked the remnant of taking things in a literal sense into a part of the sense of humor that I have developed. However, I usually only use this part of my humor around my family. People often describe my usual sense of humor as "dry humor."

  • you are so cute, which you shaved though

  • I had a tough time with being funny but after learning scarsium I could make a quite a few people laugh. I make my own lines and play them with my siblings. They always laugh.

  • aspergers people are generally funny people, i dont know where this guy gets off, not eveyone has the same symptoms and we all interpret things differently.

a lot of neurotypicals have no sense of humor, and people have to work at being funny

  • There are always exceptions to every generalization.

That's great for you though. If you really are funny keep following your talents, they will pay off.

  • I'd say it is hard for some people with Asperger's to be funny and some may find it easy to be funny. I have Asperger's Syndrome and I have a very good sense of humor.

  • You are a Kurt Cobain look alike. Can you rock like him?

  • lol I started typing exactly what you said so I had to erase it cuz you pretty much covered every aspect of it. I hate the feeling of when someone cracks a joke that I don't get but they expect me to laugh when I just sit there trying to figure it out and then having to fake a laugh to avoid insulting them. I'm the most literally headed girl you'll ever get to meet and it's very rare for me to get a joke. cool vids!

  • I liked the previous hairstyle you had but your current look is awesome too. 8D

  • just what u said...me too

    like ur hair :)
