wow, i was thinking about playing this game until i saw this. I just started playing Champions Online and wanted to play both, maybe decide which one i want to stick with, but this character creation screen shows how limited the options are for creating your character. Plus I dont think the graphics are all that great. what a ripoff. And you can't get an arch enemy?! maybe one day i'll play this, but not anymore.

CoH is an AWESOME game. It's graphics are way better than WoW as well as the game play. I played WoW for 1 day and that was enough for me. It felt like a was playing a child's game. CoH does have more of a "mature" feel to it. Unlike WoW, it doesn't look like a Saturday morning child's cartoon.

Both Heroes and Villains get gun powersets. *Currently* there's the Assault Rifle power set for Blasters (heroes) and Corruptors (Villains), as well as a very limited Pulse Rifle powerset for Masterminds (it's only 3 powers, part of the Robotics powerset) and a few Pistol powers (part of the Thugs set).

Coming soon, Defenders are also getting Assault Rifles, and a Dual Pistols set is coming to both sides, likely with the Going Rogue expansion.

Basically, City of Heroes/Villains completely diverges from the concept of 'clothes = armor' common in most MMOs. Costume items never grant you any sort of power or benefit (other than looking cool). Enemies *do* drop enhancements, salvage, recipies, and inspirations, though... but with the exception of the Wing recipes (which do NOT let you fly, you still need a power for that- purely cosmetic), they don't impact your appearance.

A few powers place an aura on your character during use, tho.

And i came up with a guy named: Super-Lyn (Super-Lightening in English, he's originally danish like me :D) I was so young and i always wanted him to be in a movie or a game... well i found my wish. Only better thing about COH is that more people know about it as of now so more people play. If you go to Champions Online then youll have a higher chance of making your hero just the way you wanted him

CoH is much more fun than WoW, in WoW, the fun doesn;t truly start until you're a really high level, in CoH the fun starts right from the beginning. WoW has a bigger and more epic community though.

heh CoH/CoV kicks WoW's butt anytime, it has an extremely advanced char creation, the quests/missions are instanced so you dont have to watch out for campers, Villain and Hero areas are sepperate so no ganking will happen while lvling, you get better movements fairly early so the time between missions shrinks and so on and on...the only bad side so far is that there arent much people playing the games anymore these days. :(
