Women over 35 give birth all the time. I think it's a myth that women over 35 have more complicatons. She should have had her baby at home. Would have been safer and much more fulfilling.

Doctors should stay out of delivery rooms. Get a midwife in there. Also,why are the obstetric nurses counting when and for how long to push? The delivering person should do that and only if there is a need to count.

Husbands should stay out of the birthing room...unless he is a doctor! Some things are just for women. In African and Asian cultures women assemble together to assist in the birthing process. Men are not present. There is a reason for that.

I think the expression of his face shows concern, engagement and care rather than as you said disgust. He is very supportive and seems to feel with his wife ..
