They must have just slapped another coat of paint on that old Upright Grand Piano JoAnn Played. The color really didn't matter, as JoAnn could really make that Piano come alive. I loved seeing all the keys working and wouldn't have been surprised if it caught on fire when she was playing!!

The Welk producers had to replace Jo Ann's piano with a new one after each performance. Legend has it that several of the pianos she used ignited after one of Jo Ann's rigorous renditions.
