I can't hear this music without thinking of Torvill & Dean's paso doble... but Chen Lu does a wonderful job with it here... such a lovely skater. Judged unfairly? Common back then; seems to me that until Tara Lipinski came along, 15 year old skaters got overlooked at the senior level.

Triple Lutz, Triple Toe-loop - Double Toe-loop, Double Axel, Triple Loop, Triple Lutz-Double Toe-loop, Triple Flip, Triple Salchow, Triple Toe-loop (Doubled it), Double Flip.... So that makes it 6 triples.... and could of been 7 if she did do the triple toe-loop at the end WOW!

for anyone complaining about the COP, they should watch this .... holy cow, this was a travesty!

two triple lutzes, flip, loop, salchow and toe ... 6 triple jumps, more than midori and kristi .... how she could have been placed behind kerrigan is unfathomable ... sigh ...

@lutz84 She was 11th in the SP, with the ordinals she couldnt have passed Kerrigan even if she was first in the LP.

she should have been "fairly" judged in the free skate and not be slotted in at wherever she was slotted in just because she had "no chance" to make the podium ....

@lutz84 Well, I would need to see all of the SPs, but she had a stumble which cost her, but they did really take a lot off , more than I thought they should. I guess there were a lot of clean SPs there.

forget the short program .... Lulu was 5th in the albertville free skate .... i think she should have been placed 3rd

@lutz84 Agree. Her LP was better than Kerrigan's. I dont know if that would have changed the placements though/

I thought Verne Lunquist was a little too racist with his commentary...this program easily beats Arakawa's and Kim's gold medal performance with the new judging system!

it was beautiful and I'm sure if Yamaguchi had stepped out of her double flip like Chen Lu did

the judges still wouldn't have placed her outside of the top 5!

Agreed. This should have placed no lower than 3rd in the free skate. How anyone could have placed Nancy Kerrigan's performance over this is beyond me.
