Played a game a few days ago on Resistance, entire team was either sitting on the stairs to East of C flag Domination (The Patio leading to B Flag Dom) or sitting in the shop on B flag. They got moved in but it was just ridiculous. Good for our predators and Airstrikes, easy win. They jumped at the end of the game none the less. It's rare anyone finishes in a positive when against our first team let alone the reserves. Camping didn't help them there.
@LDNClan that's resistance, camping isn't that effective there I played it too but I stopped because it was turning more and more towards the standard shooters (perks, streaks,.....)

We won but it was bloody annoying since we couldn't rake in as many points since they refused to move. Sitting there on A spawn and we even left the side of the map clear so they'd atleast go for C dom. Didn't work, they weren't interested.
We don't camp as a team, might be the odd player here and there but not an entire team. Plus we'd get a high K/D and a M.O.A.B

I have to agree totally, there are game types to stop everything, being dominated by guys who are in one clan and are all Mic-ed up - Mercenary, larger groups - Ground War etc etc. I am fed up of Campy wankers ruining games, and on several occasions I have gone into games where the whole team are doing it, so they have every angle covered. You can take out one but you have another 1 or 2 then looking at you, die. Can't agree more than having a game type where stay still for 30 - 45 seconds kick!
100% agree with him "ANYONE CAN CAMP". I would like to see a red dot appear on the minimap if you have been within 3-5 metres for more than 30 seconds, and at 45 seconds the ticker announces you are camping, and then any kill you get announces that it was a camping kill. And to be honest I define a camper as someone who watches a door or a choke point for as long as they can, and once killed will go back there again, and again... I would like that KD to be private and not used as a skill rating.

SO TRUE!!!! Since day one of playing MW3 I have been getting killed by campers, I understand that wen defending an objective it is sumthin that cant be helped but the amount of time I have been playing kill confirmed/TDM and get killed by someone sat in a dark corner is unbelievable! Camping can be solved by being good at the game. Im not trying to brag, but I AM definitely very good at Call of Duty and I can't see all the fuss about campers. There are so many bad players, so they all have to hide in a corner because they know they have no chance of winning a 1v1 gunfight with you. Adapt or rage. Btw camping is a good tactic in alot of situations and you shouldnt always not do it
Camping is simply solved by either A) you show up on the mini map if you are prone/crouched/stood still for say 10 seconds regardless if you use Assassin, 60 seconds and your kicked is way to long Ken. (10 seconds is long enough to cap a flag without showing up) or B) introduce a perk which highlights people in your proximity who are again prone/crouched/stood still. Games like COD and Battlefield are great games, people who camp ruin them.

I see campers all the time in objective games like Domination, Dropzone. I end up with the most deaths but my score is what wins the games since everyone is camping and not getting either the Red or Gold tags.

The worst thing is, is that my ratio (2.42) was gained genuinely. I haven't camped for anything, but its the campers who give genuine skilled players a bad name, as anyone who sees someone with a 2+ ratio will just say camper :/ which then removes the achievement of getting a genuinely good ratio.
CoD should just get rid of the K/D stats. I think most players would play more agressive and actually play the objective. There are sooo many players that just go for a good K/D and don't give a F about winning the game.

You know Ken, there are other styles of camping that people do practice. There is tactical camping in which you move to a different spot after a kill. There's also strategic camping when you know an enemy is there and you're just waiting it out to see what he or they do. I've seen you do this one multiple times. There's also a corner camper, building camper and lets not forget the tactical insertion camper that I've came across many times, which I personally hate. And I'm sure I'm missing more.

its impossible for me to camp, its exactly what ken said, "Boring." I have fun by moving around even though there are issues with the game in general. the only times i camp is when i am afk or tired and feel really lazy.
This shows how effective this style can be. There is a guy called DinoRidingJesus makes alot of good videos about the death of aggressive gaming and how aggressive players are punished to help less skilled players. Its very interesting how he explains why this is the sad direction FPS games have gone.
Ok first and foremost, I hate campers, with that being said, they are good at what they do, they just have a different style, think about it, in a real military skirmish people "camp" so they don't get their heads blown off, just cut them some slack and have fun finding and eliminating them.
In Cod 4 I was absolute shit at the game. Going positive was a very rare occasion. But I loved it and had a shit ton of fun. In MW2 I wanted to try and do better so I camped, basically. I did good but it was a lot less fun and was just annoying. It was too easy to get high end killstreaks. In BO I camped at the start but I quickly switched to rushing and playing for fun, and I actually did better than I did in MW2. And it was a lot more fun, almost as much as I had in Cod 4.

I see campers all the time in objective games like Domination, Dropzone. I end up with the most deaths but my score is what wins the games since everyone is camping and not getting either the Red or Gold tags.

The worst thing is, is that my ratio (2.42) was gained genuinely. I haven't camped for anything, but its the campers who give genuine skilled players a bad name, as anyone who sees someone with a 2+ ratio will just say camper :/ which then removes the achievement of getting a genuinely good ratio.

the reason there are so many kill whores and campers is down to the you tube community, I believe that a lot of the "top" youtubers while they do upload good content only upload possitive games. yes I agree it is impressive, but then it breed the little douches that aspire to be as good, okay I can't say much as I only have 2 shitty vides on my channel at the moment! but all I tend to see is either people "patroling/camping" or doing trick shots? c'mon lets see some real gameplay in pub lobbies!

The reason you get the abuse is obvious...its jealousy, they all want a successful youtube channel and they think that their KD earns them one. You know Ken, there are other styles of camping that people do practice. There is tactical camping in which you move to a different spot after a kill. There's also strategic camping when you know an enemy is there and you're just waiting it out to see what he or they do. I've seen you do this one multiple times. There's also a corner camper, building camper and lets not forget the tactical insertion camper that I've came across many times, which I personally hate. And I'm sure I'm missing more.

There is a guy called DinoRidingJesus makes alot of good videos about the death of aggressive gaming and how aggressive players are punished to help less skilled players. Its very interesting how he explains why this is the sad direction FPS games have gone.

Ok first and foremost, I hate campers, with that being said, they are good at what they do, they just have a different style, think about it, in a real military skirmish people "camp" so they don't get their heads blown off, just cut them some slack and have fun finding and eliminating them.

In Cod 4 I was absolute shit at the game. Going positive was a very rare occasion. But I loved it and had a shit ton of fun. In MW2 I wanted to try and do better so I camped, basically. I did good but it was a lot less fun and was just annoying. It was too easy to get high end killstreaks. In BO I camped at the start but I quickly switched to rushing and playing for fun, and I actually did better than I did in MW2. And it was a lot more fun, almost as much as I had in Cod 4.
