Dragons require bi-weeky soakings to maintain proper hydration, so playing in the water is good. Check out any dragon care website and you will see that two twenty minute soaks a week are recommended.

@Tymar3215 Oh yeah. fat+beardie = good. they should be fat enough that the skin on their sides isn't all crinkly. when you see that skin start to crinkle all the time, you know it's underweight and could use more protien.

@Zincube4091 My leopard geckos 'stalk' me esp when they're hungry, sometimes even go for my finger (they're not underfed don't worry) but as soon as they stick out their tongues and 'taste' it's me I'm off the menu! ;)

Just curious, why is she walking like that? I saw a leopard gecko that was deprived of calcium once and it walked just like that. Not saying yours is, she looks completely healthy and happy. Just wondering. Maybe it's the slipperyness of the tiles?

@MrChannel5news You made a point? Obviously if my dragon is climbing up my arm when the water's a bit deep, I have my arm IN the sink for him to hold onto to help him feel safe. My beardie doesn't like water too much, he's fine when it's shallow, just covering his feet, but if it gets any deeper, he tries to climb up. The water needs to be deeper than his feet for me to properly bathe him when he's shedding, or dirty.

Common misconception that desert animals don't like water or can't swim. Most deserts tend to have flash floods or pools of water.

Like someone else mention she'd likely love a bath tube full of luke warm water and a rock or two in there for her to chill on, I know all of mine do. They even have a ramp to get in and out.. one of my girls found the fun of sliding down the slop of the tube into the water.
