@swanseacityfcrc Your partially right - the British army does have better overall equipment and training. Mind you that we've switched to a professional army only two years ago if I remember correctly. The thing you are wrong about are the special forces. GROM is top notch and is far superior to many of the leading spec formations around the world. GROM is on par with Delta (which got it's ass kicked on a few occasions, during friendly trainings) and with SAS. Next time, read before you post :).

@swanseacityfcrc Yes i have. But the marines and the British army are a different thing than GROM - they are not "special forces". Delta=SAS=GROM. British army=American army=/=Polish army :). And as far as giving up lives goes - the Polish army is the third biggest force in Afghanistan if I'm correct. You're not the only ones risking lives for peace, we're on the same team :).

@nero91 Russisch versuchen wir so schnell wie möglich los zu werden. An einen Soldaten ist noch kaum russische Ausrüstung zu sehen. Anders bei unseren Truppentransportern. Polen besitzt immernoch um die 1.500 russische Transporter fahrzeuge. Aber ir haben bereits ein Projekt am Laufen, bei dem ein neuer Panzer einer neuen Generation rauskommen soll. Hierbei wir auch ein universelles Fahrgestell entwickelt, das auch u.a. als Fahrwerk eines Truppentransporter dienen kann.

@nero91 Der Panzer soll aber auch so um 2015 ferig sein. Bis dahin müssen wir uns mit unserem jetzigen zufieden geben. Aber meist benutzen wir unsere eigene Ausrüstung. Die Gewähre die der AK ähnlich sehen sind auch polnische produktion auf AK-Basis.

Russische Ausrüstung sieht man zwar noch, wird aber alles in Polen produziert. Die Polnische Lufttechnik-Fabrilk wurde dieses Jahr für rund 300.000.000 von einer Italienischen Firma aufgekauft.

@nero91 Die Italienische Firma darf u.a. Auch Apache-Kampfhubschrauber produzieren soweit ich weis. Die Militärische Zukunft Polens dürfte interessant werden. Die Spezialeinheiten benutzen aber kaum Russische Ausrüstung, meist polnische oder aus dem Ausland, z.B. Deutsche oder Amerikanische.

Bin aber gespannt wie die Armee in so 2020 aussehen wird :D

Als einmal eine Einheit beim rückzug aus einer Geiselbefreiungsmission unter Kreutzfeuer geraten war, sprengte sich der Offizier in die luft und nahm die Gegner mit... Durch sein Opfer hat die Einheit und die Geiseln überlebt....

Die 2 letzten Geschichten hab ich aus einem Interview mit einem GROM-Soldaten. Du solltest sie nicht unterschätzen, man sollte sie würdigen, sie sind bereit ihr Leben für andere zu opfern... Und die Regierung kauft alles was sie brauchen an Ausrüstung.

Na ja, immerhin hat GROM eine Ölplatform in einem Kanal eingenommen, die die Irakis sprengen wollten um den Angiff der Amerikaner um mehrere Tage zu verschieben. GROM hat die sprengung verhindert, sodass der Angriff wie vorgesehen statfinden konnte, auserdem wurde iene Ökologische Katastrophe verhindert.

Auf einer anderen Mission hat ein GROM-Soldat einen toten Kameraden 3km weit getrahen zur Abholzone nur um seine Leiche seinen Eltern übergeben zu können.
