  • eh Huxternator, if you want to develop in basketball, you should start following a real training workout. I used widely known nba training plan here 50 inch vertical (dot) com. I didn t even tell this to my high school teammates yet heh

    Double-Under Crossovers

  • #VIDEOPOSTERID#, is 5 9, American and can dunk. Wtf you mean white guys can t jump? It s (just|simply|all)# about the training people do to get their vertical leap to be high enough to dunk. For me, I personally used the training program over at 50inch vertical[dot]com

  • You shouldn't jump rope on a hard surface like that. It's really hard on your ankles, feet, and every other joint in your legs. Do it on something that absorbs a lot of the impact. A wood surface, mat, etc.

  • I can do 30 seconds of double unders, but still haven't added crossovers into my routine. My arms aren't as strong as my legs, so I jump higher and don't have bring the rope around as fast. Got to stay closer to the ground and stay loose.

  • u cross and uncross at the top so you can jump it, if you cross at the bottem you'd trip yourself

  • the sound is not dubbed or added. i dont know why exactly, but you might notice other videos online the audio doesnt sync perfectly, thats the case here as well.

  • Thanks. I was just watchin a couple of your vids, youre not to shaby either man. My knees have been giving me some trouble lately though, so Im takin it easy on the skipping....when i really paid attention to how I was jumping, my weight distribution was uneven and one of my legs was slightly bent putting excess strain on my knee. Keep an eye on that when youre jumping.

  • Get a couple of rubber mats. Lay off the hard surfaces.

  • yeah, Most of the time I am on a soft surface at my university gym, its pretty rare that I skip on concrete

  • ya i used to do it concrete 1. your joints won't like it 2. your rope goes to shit really quickly :( i found some nice old carpet i use now :)

  • do you mean just the normal crossover? Its not very complicated once you realize how to move your arms! I just figured it from trial and error. Just cross each arm over to the opposite side of your body. Time it so your arms cross as youre jumping over the rope. Its hard to describe, just try it

  • no prob, just dont be afraid of getting a few welts. Id be walking around with my hands and forearms all lashed up with welts that lasted over a week.

  • Yeh I dont do the criss crosses either. but my doubleunders are getting a lot better. maybe i'll start criss crossing next workout.

  • you idiots..this is sped up...notice how the sound is really delayed and yo u can still hear the sound of a rope cutting the air after it hits his shins...also...uh...notice the plant..its moving to quick...

  • are you kidding? The plant is moving fast cause its windy and its about half a foot from the camera. And the sound is delayed because streaming video isnt perfect.

  • Badass, man. Is the double under simply a matter of practice to get down? I can do max 4 on my best effort, but quickly hit myself in the shins or neck.

    THe crossovers baffle me, too, but those are mostly for show. The double-unders are crazy conditioning.
