I like to think David's played this song much better on other occasions.

He was just "playing the goat" (as they say in Australia) at that show in Bonnaroo b'coz he was actually distracted, thinking about the cover song that Radiohead were simultaneously playing of a Gillian Welch song on another stage at the same festival at the same time. *woah! - headfuck* No wonder he slipped on a few notes. So weird.

I would tend to agree. actually I spoke to Rowlings after the show and he also mentioned that he is studying multi-tasking, and was at the time trying to learn a New Loutonians cover song. Further studies have shown that learning one song whilst playing another song are not really complimentary activities.
