Yeah, Bobo is way too fragile for a dachshund! I've actually found a squeaky toy sheep without any potruding parts that lasts a few days if my dachshunds are in a good mood.

Let's see...my Willy had disemboweled and dismembered more BoBos, chipmunks, mice, Scare-D-Cats, foxes, ferrets, and other fluffy toys than I care to remember. He was THE CHAMPION!

This is why we never gave our doxie anything stuffed...it would be gone in less than minutes. But, here's the catch...he ALWAYS first started at the hands, then the fingers then the rest of the body. Then one day, my mum was cleaning his kennel when she heard this rattling sound only to find a bunch of eyeballs of every single stuffed toy we gave him...it was pretty creepy.

We always stuck to Nylabones and Kong toys cos they were the only toys to last.

@babybotpobJB Get her a toy made of material she can't destroy as easily as a stuffed one. Go for really hard, durable toys, like Nylabone products.

My dog will make a small incision and take out all of the stuffing then extract the squeaker.

SO  funny! my tweenie, chloe has killed two bobos- it's the only thing she's interested in chewing up. and my last doxie, bella (she looks just like yours!), was the same way. when i come home, she's so excited; she has to run and get her bobo. but i call it "the puppy". after sitting in my lap, "killing the puppy" is her favorite activity. what is it about the bobo specifically??

My doxie does this too. She picks a hole in the toy to get at the squeaker and then finishes up by pulling ALL the stuffing out! The whole process takes about 10 minutes.

What a cutie. He looks a bit like mine although I think this one is a bit smaller. My dachsie never destroyed anything though, not even as a puppy. I could leave her in the car for a short while immediately and also at home. She's one and a half now and I take her with me on holidays and sometimes she has to stay at a hotel room when I'm having dinner and I never had problems. She's really sweet and playful and I'm really lucky with her. Dachsies rule!!

My doxies do that- I just let them destroy the toys, then I gather up the stuffing, restuff the toys, stitch them back up and let them destroy them all over again! I'm careful not to let them get the squeakers though.

Heidi will destroy and de-stuff any squeaky toy I buy! I have to be careful and get the squeaker away, before she gets it, I'm afraid she'll swallow the sqeaker. Does EVERYONE'S dachshund do this?

Poor Bobo. I bought my doxie a Bobo and she had it destroyed in 10 minutes. I can not buy her plush toys because she freaks out over the squeakies and tries to tear them out. She has torn up more squeakie toys.

bobo might be dog resistant, but not DASCHUND RESISTANT, doxies can and will destroy and chew toy even kongs & steel wire balls are no match for daschunds,doxies will get the squeakers out of the squeaktoys.i got 4 daschunds some of the toys or even balls just disappear!!!into tiny little bits

My doxies had the exact same toys and did the same thing to them. They severed BoBo at the neck and then proceeded to de-gut him. All that's left of the gorilla is the squawk box. Do your doxies pull the fuzz off of tennis balls too? LOL

Too funny... thought my Arnie was the only toy murderer. All his toys had to have multiple "surgeries". Most were gutted before you could blink an eye. Even after the squeaker was removed, he would still gut them. Most of his toys just became outers shells. I miss my Arnie :(

Wow! Annabelle must be related to my Willy who disemboweled his first Bobo in less than 10 minutes, too (never, EVER, turn you back on a dachshund with a brand new squeaky toy). He then took it upon himself to steal Schatzie's! I stopped him before he did the same to it, but I had to perform emergency abdominal surgery, nontheless. Bobo #2 has recovered nicely to be mauled another day.

My doxie destroys any toy she is given. Even the ones that say "indestructable," she manages to tear to shreds. Her Bobos were all killed and completely gutted in less than 15 minutes.

My dachsies are too old now to play with toys, being 10 and 13. But when Ludwig (the oldest) was a puppy, he shredded the poor cat's doll. The cat was so miffed that he wouldn't accept a new doll, and even stopped playing fetch with me! The cat (now almost 15) now sleeps with the dog, but that's another story.
